*Cherokee's P.O.V.*

It was after school and Lilly was walking home with me. I was so nervous about telling my parents. Lilly wouldn't leave my side all day, but I kind of liked it. Her smile calmed my nerves.

She held my hand as we walked, and sparks shot up my arm. I noticed that Lilly was very protective and confident. It made me feel...safe. As we neared my house, I stopped.

Lilly looked back at me and tilted her head in confusion, then realization came over her face. I lowered my head and she wrapped her arms around me soothingly. "It will be okay, just let me do the talking." She whispered in my ear stroking my hair.

I sighed and nodded, pulling away slowly and grabbing her hand and running to my house as adreniline pumped through my veins.

I stood on the porch staring at my front door. Lilly squeezed my hand before letting go reluctantly. We walked in the house, her walking behind me smiling big. Walking into the living room, I noticed my family was already sitting there.

I stared at them with wide eyes as Lilly stood next to me awkwardly. Instantly, my mom asked the question. "Did you find your mate?" She practically screamed, on the edge of her seat. I nodded. My whole family whopped and hollered wrapping me in a hug, accidentally pushing Lilly back.

I heard her growl softly, causing me to blush. They pulled back, wide smiles on their faces. "Who is he?" My oldest brother, Lukas, asked.

I coughed awkardly, and Lilly walked up holding out her hand to my parents. "My name is Lillian, but my friends call me Lilly. Nice to meet you." She says, causing them to look at me in confusion. They shook her hand before she said, "I'm Cherokee's mate."
