Chapter 5

-BRENDON'S POINT OF VIEW-

I opened the car door for her.

"Is there anything that you'd like? Or are you not too picky?"

"Anywhere's fine!"

"Does Panera Bread sound good to you?" I started the engine.

She nodded and buckled her seat belt.

Five minutes later we arrived.

I ordered a Chipotle Chicken Panini with Chicken Noodle soup.

"What do you want?"

"I'll just have a salad."

"You sure?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Yeah, I'm not very hungry."

"Did you eat breakfast?"

She gave me a confused look.

"I'm sorry, I just want you to eat well." I scratched my head.

"It's fine. I appreciate you worrying about my health, but I am."

I found a seat while she ordered.

Once we got our food, we got to know each other more.

We talked about our interests, high school moments, advice, you name it, we've talked about it.

Jade is a pretty fucking funny and genuine person.

When we were done we got back in the car.

She gave me her address.

Her apartment was only ten minutes away from here.

-JADE'S POINT OF VIEW-

"Thank you. Just spending an hour with you has made my entire year." I looked out the car window.

I turned to him and he was just inches away from me.

"What are y-"

He leaned in for a kiss.

Goddamn, his lips were perfect.

The way it touched mine.

It seemed as if time froze.

Very dramatic description, I know.

It's described as if it was a movie.

But no, this was very real, this was all real.

I leaned back with my eyes opened wide.

"Oh, I'm sorry." His face turned red.

"Oh no, it's totally fine." I smiled.

Shoot, that just made me sound like a crazy fangirl.

His face lost its redness and he began to smile the hugest smile you'll ever get to see on him.

I gave him my number and as I got out of his car we waved goodbye.
