I look around me for the first time. An empty field. I start slugging forward, but find that I'm fast. Really fast. Like, fast!
I slide forward, enlightened, but then start to feel hungry. I see a crumb. I glide in and claim it. Delicious! I see more, and more, and then I realize the entire plain is full of these! I run around, enjoying myself, until I see a blob of something in front of me. I let it take some food. It takes it but continues to move towards me. That's kind of fast. Instinct. I run away, realizing how massive it is. I turn hard right. Go around.
Something compels me to almost throw up. I do so, but it wasn't throw-up. My conscious and vision shot forward, along with what was probably my stomach, and I turn, seeing my remains dying. What a cruel world! I see a nametag imprinted on it. Jumbo. Some sort of cannon shoots out and almost nabs me, I continue to run. Noiseless, the devil known as Jumbo fires again, but I've turned right and looped around the mass. I run as far as I can, before seeing a battlefield, reeking of death. It's instantaneous, almost humorous. Almost emotionless. Things die. Bigger things eat those things. And then giants, the champions, maybe, come in and obliterate everything it touches.
I starve, and so, and tugged forward, gobbling some quick snacks. A baby appears in front of me. I stop myself. Something strange happens. Food... and there's a lot of food to be found in that one! I move forward slowly at first, but then it runs into me accidentally.
I feel nothing but bliss, and look hungrily at the field of cells.
It's been three minutes, maybe. I'm giant. I've learned the ropes. Single-cells are just eggs, you let them roam until they get big and juicy. Eat first, regret later. And man, have I started to regret. I've taken lives of those that were just like me. No, my subconscious argues. If they were like you, they'd have lived. You have a talent- a gift, if you would- you have to make sure you didn't eat them for nothing. I nod submissively and continue the spree, before running into a stationary, spiky-looking organism.
Easy, I know, so I swoop in. "AGH!" I scream in shock, as my limbs pop off like a cartoon. It felt like a hair being pulled off. Quick and easy, strangely. My stomach roared in pain, and the smaller ones bent to my will. It was interesting; I couldn't eat them. Since the first ten seconds of my life, I was never able to replicate that strange, self-preserving instinct.
Fourth minute already?! I got to get moving. Gosh, since eating that, I feel like I need to eat four times as much! Suddenly, all of the accusing eyes in my mind swung to face me. The invaders seemed to rush in from all directions! I sprint forward, claiming something. I realize it was a green spiky thing, but to my surprise, I feel tons better. I grew an extra atom, no, more! The separated parts of me jump into me, and I grow more. I look down on my attackers, and run after them. My stomach clicks into place. Finally! I've learned how to- I split half of myself forward, claiming three, four, five prey! It lands on a bacteria spot but I lead it to other spots, increasing my domination.
Sixth minute?! That didn't take so long! I keep running into the emptiness, ready to challenge a champion. My wish is granted, unfortunately and I see, coming from the east, the bearer of death. I run away immediately, knowing there was no hope. I come across a cell, it was nameless, like me, I guess. Noticing the similarity, I move towards it. Scared, it flees. I grab some of myself as a piece offering, and throw it out. It catches it and then stops, turning curiously. We move side by side, the champion still following me, when I see more organisms coming in from all sides. The cell at my side sacrificed itself for me in a heartbeat, and I grew big enough to phase through the cells without killing them. We didn't know each other for more than four seconds... and yet... yet... ... this feeling... it's called "friendship." We were a "team." It "trusted" me...
I turn around, seeing that all of the organisms had split in fear of the crusader, and see a chance. I take a step, and then retreat quickly. I can't kill anymore cells. But I need to live! I slide around the cover of a bacteria and wait to see if the champion will take the chance of weakening itself for a lone prey.
It goes around, when a cell from inside the bacteria accidentally runs into me. With this unimaginable increase, I split away, but still have more than what I had a minute ago. Speaking of... my fifteenth minute of life?! I've come so far! I need to beat Jumbo!
I see a cluster of specks and consume it swiftly, but it feels like nothing. I need to face it, I've got to... I need to... to kill those that harm others! That's my solution to my hunger problem! I run through the plain of the Kingdom of Agario, passing Emperor and Cutegirl on the way. They flee in terror, and, pitying them, I throw some food for them. As I round a corner, I see how they're doing, but see that Emperor has taken the food and is chasing Cutegirl.
No, stop! I try to speak, but I rush forward, being too late. As your retribution... you... shall die!! I split myself, devouring Emperor. I continue, trying and failing to spread my message across the vast land. However, I've two followers now. Half an hour?! That can't be right! No one has ever lived this long, right? No wait, there are the Champions...
I run into a cell, cursing myself, but continuing. There's a war going on, but everyone there is small. In order to ultimately protect others, I need to stop violence... with the only power I have. More violence! I sprint in, cannoning a half of myself into the masses, it expanding like a bomb. What's a bomb? The new-smaller part and the Emperor's judgement fused and I had discovered a new tactic. I went through the land for another ten minutes, before realizing... I had become a champion! A champion was now chasing me, and I look back at it. Forshame.
I round a corner and another champion appeared. I sprint away from conflict, almost dividing myself in accident. Then I turn to make sure I have a safe getaway. They were both running from... Jumbo. I swooped in, claiming both of them and taking a stand. We pushed against each other, shoving and overlapping, until giving up and falling back a couple of grid squares. I... I'm so tired... but... Jumbo must be put down!! I see some organisms running into it and it expands. W-what?! They voluntarily... for Jumbo?! The sky turns dark with Jumbo. I'm crushed into a tiny, insignificant circle, until, finally, I submit, and Jumbo contains my hard-earned mass. I've lost, like the lives I took...
I open my eyes for the first time.
