Chapter 18

(Jessica's POV)

I just finished getting ready for the Christmas party. Dressed in black, red, cream sweater which had mooses on it. Black yoga pants, with gray ugg boots and a gray sweater hat. Having my red hair down, and little wavy. Putting on just a little make up. Derek was coming by and picking me up. I had just made it to the living room when he texted me telling me he was here. Grabbing my purse, and phone. My parents had already left for the party, meeting them there. Walking out of the garage, and shutting it. Derek was in his red truck, and he got out helping me up into his truck.

We were then off to the party, making it there in 10 minutes. "You excited for the mistletoe?" Derek asked, giving me a little wink.

I blushed a little, and I felt him squeeze my hand a little. Both of us walking to the front door, ringing the bell. Athena answered the door, and she was wearing, a cream long sleeved shirt with a maroon colored short skirt. Black stocking with black heels. Her brown hair was curled into a cute low bun, and her makeup was done to have her green eyes show. "Hey, guys! Happy Christmas Eve, and there is food in the kitchen. Presents are to go under the huge Christmas tree in the living room. Also, there is going to be a bonfire out near the barn later tonight, maybe some marshmallows." Athena said with a laugh.

"Here, let me take your coats." She said. I gave her my coat, and so did Derek.

Joining hands we walked into the kitchen to find Melody and Tyler making out. "Wow, guys. You do know that his bedroom his just upstairs right?" I asked.

Melody jumped away from him blushing. Tyler just laughed and came over to Derek. Giving him a bro hug while I went over to Melody. "Hey, girl," I said with a smile. She just gave me a glare.

"Sorry, I just had to. You guys shouldn't be making out where I the food is." Melody just shook her head at me.

"So, how are you and Derek after that fight." She asked me, whispering so Derek wouldn't here.

"We're doing good now. Working things out, but it's been good." I said with a smile. That's when I felt hands wrap around my waist.

"What are you girls whispering about. Hopefully, it's about your sexy boyfriend." Derek said, pecking me on the cheek.

And that made Melody, "If that's what you want to think, then yes we were doing just that."

Derek gave us both a look, "Why don't we go put our gifts under the tree." I said.

"Let just go get them from the truck."

I nodded, staying with Melody and Tyler. I walked around the food, grabbing a cookie. Then a nice cup of warm hot chocolate. Hearing the front door open and shut, and Derek walking back in with the gifts. I lead him to the living room. Melody and Tyler slowly following us. I took them from Derek and placed them under the tree. Finding only a couple presents there. All of us then sat down on the couch. Derek wrapped around an arm around my shoulder. "So, who is all here?" I asked.

Before Tyler could answer my question. Athena and Damon walked into the living room. "Hey, guys. Have y'all heard anything about Blake or Courtney showing up?" Athena asked.

Looking down at her phone. Worry shown in her eyes and Damon hugged her. Trying to get her to stop worrying. "Babe, Blake said they would be here. And they will be here." Athena sighed at his words.

Sitting down on the fireplaces ledge, warming up. While Damon sat down on the ground by her feet. "Where are the parents?" Melody ask.

"They are all in the dining room, talking about boring things," Tyler said.
