Olivia put on her pink dress and did her hair in a bun. She liked to dress like that. She put on high heels and blue eyeshadow. She found some hoop earrings and a pretty necklace in her jewellery box that suited her dress perfectly. She wondered were her ribbon went.
"Mum," she called.
"Yes darling," her mother called.
"Where is my pink ribbon."
"I do not know but there is a spotty bow in my cupboard you could borrow," explained her mother.Olivia went into her mothers cupboard. It was full of stuff. Dresses, purses, bags and even an old typewriter.
'Where is it' Olivia thought. She opened a draw in her mothers cabinet and there it was. The prettiest little bow Olivia had ever seen. It was blue with little pink dots on it.
"There we are," she said when she plopped the bow on the right side of her hair.As soon as she put the bow on her dress changed dramatically it wasn't just pink dress it glittered under the light. It was a princesses dress, it had little spots on it from the polka dotted bow and it was a baby pink now. Not a bright pink.
Olivia took a bow, like one of the princesses in a movie. She was so excited to go to prom now that she was practically jumping out of her skin.
"Yay, yay, yay," she said as she spun around.
The dress floated with her spinning, it made Olivia more happy. She ran down the stairs happily and walked towards the front door. She could see her friends car outside.
"Thank you mother, the bow is truly beautiful," shouted Olivia. She spun to the car and hopped in. She giggled all the way to the prom, knowing she would be the prettiest girl thanks to her mothers bow.
