Chapter 4

(Tanja's POV)

I wake up as I hear confused voices behind the door to the room I was sleeping in. The voice of Jay is in evidence but the other one seems not familar to me. I take my phone from the bed table and look at the screen to find out what time it is. 4 o'clock AM! They should be sleeping!

"Tom, get a grip! You have to go home! Eva's extremely worried about you and she's sorry for what she said earlier! ... No, you can't go in there, Tanja is sleeping here!"

The guy slurs his speech: "Who the hell is Tanja? Anyway, I can't go home, I don't want to see Eva tonight, we had a fight."

"I know, Tom. Come on, you'll sleep on the sofa. You probably won't even remember your fight according to the amount of alcohol you drank tonight."

Suddenly a loud bang can be heard, apparently Tom tripped over his own feet and fell against the door. I hear him swearing.

"Oh shit, she must be woken up thanks to you" Jay sighes loudly and the steps become quieter, so I guess they went to the sitting room. I decide to look after them, I was wide awake anyway. I crawl out of the bed, open the door and pad into their direction. As I reach the living room I see Jay helping a brown haired guy with an earring to lie down on the sofa, handing him a blanket and a pillow. He must be another band member as he looks very similar to one of the lads on the picture I saw today. I mean yesterday afternoon.

As Jay finally managed to get Tom to sleep I ask him: "Is everything alright?"

Jay cringes because he didn't hear me coming. He turns his head with a worried mien. "I'm really sorry for waking you up. This is a friend of ours, Tom, admittedly not in his best shape. He had a fight with his girlfriend and he doesn't want to got home for sleeping."

"It's no big deal" I give him a caring smile. As I look at him I notice how cute he looks. The curls are falling randomly into his eyes which he can hardly keep peeled. He's wearing a long pair of loose pants a comfortable shirt through which you can see his well trained torso. I look back up to his face and realise that he just caught me staring at him with an appreciative gaze. I feel my cheeks blush and try to avoid the eye contact with him. Out of the corner of my eyes I can see him grinning and lowering his eye lashes.

"Are you up for a very early breakfast?" He eventually asks into this awkward moment of embarrassing silence with a raised eyebrow and a mischievous smile on his face.

"Yeah" I nod enthusiastically and grin like a Cheshire cat.

He turns on the lights and leans on the kitchen isle. "What do you want? Cereals? Beans? Eggs?"

"Hmm" I can't make up my mind.

"We'll prepare a bit of everything" he chuckles.

He takes some bowls, glasses and all the groceries we need out of the cupboard and fridge. The next minutes we prepare a giant breakfast with anything you could dream of having it as a breakfast. I take the last pancake out of the pan then sit down at the table next to Jay. He starts to tell me about Tom and Eva. I come to know that they met three years before the boys were formed as a band but broke up because of another boy Eva hab been falling in love with. She wasn't happy with the new guy though and a short period after the formation they started to date again. Now they're usually very happy together but their rare fights are always spectacular, in a flurry of excitement. Although they can't stay angry with each other for a long time so their reunification is never a long time coming.

Jay hands me the milk and shows me his whimsical smile. "Now, how about you?"

"What about me?" I'm confused.

"Relationships and stuff" he answers quickly and shrugs.

"The last relationship is two years ago, he's a complete jerk." I wave aside.

Jay prying raises one eyebrow, he obviously expects an explanation, what makes me sigh quietly because I'm never eager to talk about Patrick.

"You don't have to tell me, it's alright if you don't want to talk about that." His warming smile makes me immediately feel better and I promise him to tell him some other time.

"Your turn, spill it" I grin.

"The longest relationship was with Lily-May, I guess. Prepare some tissues" he jokes before he carries on telling me about his ex girlfriend. "Lily-May, my puppy love. It started on her 16th birthday party actually. Spin the bottle. Cliché." He laughs. "We instantly fell in love with each other. Our relationship lasted a short year but at some point we realised that we drifted apart and broke up. We met again a few years ago and this time we were dating about three years until she got an offer for a job in America. I couldn't come with her because of the band, thus she was forced to choose. Well..." He shrugs.

"She chose America..." I continue thoughtfully.

He shrugs again. "She never called or wrote again after she had left. A long-distance relationship wouldn't have worked out anyway. It's years ago, I don't mind anymore." He smiles at me.

*The next chapter will take a bit longer to write on, sorry for that:/ I know, my english skills are sometimes not very eloquent and some words might be wrong but I hope that despite my wrong word choice it's still understandable for you. I'm working on my skills and I will get better, hopefully :D Let me know what you think of it:)*
