...hi :) PLEASE don't be angry at me! This is my other story that I've been working on recently and I think you guys might like it. Give it a chance, it's fairly interesting. I can't reveal too much but I'm relatively sure you'll catch on fast. (:

 Chapter One-

I leaned my forehead agaisnt the window of the taxi, the orange streetlights streaking across my closed eyelids. It was nighttime in New York but the never-dying lights of the city illuminated the busy streets. I inhaled the smell of gasoline exhaust and the faint smell of coffee.

Coffee. What I wouldn't give to have a hot, steaming, coconut mocha while relaxing in a lukewarm bubble bath in my bathtub while listening to Chopin...

"Sea, wake up. We're in New York now and we're dropping you off at your apartment. Artie has you booked for the next few days but after that your schedule is clear until your photo shoot in Milan next week. Oh shit! I forgot to make reservations at that hostel you loved last time. What was the name of it? Nevermind, I'll just look it up. Artie, what's that? Of course she can. Next week? Mhmm. Tahiti? Yes, yes that's fine. I'll consult with her tomorrow, she's dreadfully exhausted right now." June chattered nonstop into her bluetooth, the continuous clacking of her French manicured nails against her laptop keyboard slowly driving me insane.

To distract myself, I scrolled down on my iPod Touch until I reached a song by Erin McCarley, and tapped it without hesitating, sighing quietly in relief once her soothing voice began oozing through my earbuds while simultaneously blocking out June's noisy voice.

It's okay, la da da la di da la di da...

"Sea? We're here. You dozed off a little while ago but I let you sleep. I'll see you bright and early. Ta-ta my shining star! Kisses!" June patted my shoulder absently while typing one-handedly. I yawned, smiling gently at the tired taxi driver in gratitude before unfurling my long legs and climbing out of the car. I handed him $40.

"Don't forget your suitcase, ma'am. " The driver reminded me as he rolled down his window.

"Thank you," I said quietly, turning pink when he winked. The trunk popped open adn I went around to pull my hefty suitcase out. I closed the trunk, gave the 'okay' sign to the driver, and stepped onto the concrete sidewalk to watch my manager speed away in a yellow taxi. My eyes searched the sky for visible stars, but they were hidden from my sight due to the smoky-veiled city. Yawning again, I tiredly trudged to the building entrance where I was greeted by my favorite doorman.

 "Hey, Ted."

"Why Rosie! Yer back!" Ted beamed at me and I returned the smile. He'd called me Rosie ever since we played the Question game while I was hiding from June and I told him that my middle name was Rose.

"Thankfully," I laughed slightly and pulled out the handle for my suitcase.

"Austria was a blast but there really is no place like home." Ted nodded and stroked his gray-and-white stubbled jaw.

"That's very true, Miss Rosie. For one so young ya sure are smart." I smiled at his genuine compliment. He was the only one here who was unfazed by my presence.

 "Thanks, Ted."

"Anytime, Rosie." he tipped his hat at me and I walked away, quickly tuging my suitcase towards the elevators, my heart hammering at all the people staring at me with dropped jaws. The claustrophobic feeling I'd never manage to grow immune to overtook me and I repeatedly pushed the Up button until I heard a ding! and an empty elevator slid its doors open.
