Written when I was bored in Socials.
The poem is about a person telling a gang bullies why they were responsible for the emotional death of her friend.
----------------------------------------------------
A lost and beaten shell,
wanders blindly through the light,
Fuelled by laughter and hate,
Embraced by a world of spite.
Cruelty burns holes in her sunshine,
Like Mosquitos dancing 'round her head,
Liquid pain running down her lying smile,
A crumbled figure with a heart of lead.
Staggering to her prison gates,
Her eyes bleeding through her mask,
A boa constructor taking her words away,
Wishing that a believer was there to ask.
Stabbed by villains at the gate,
And swallowed by their sorrows,
In a river of fear and hardships,
Yet she stands there ready for tomorrow.
Hoping Yesterday's girl could be here,
Offering some confidence to borrow,
Unlike the girl standing in the mirror,
Whom is hopeful of a joyful morrow.
Hope, a precious fleeting thought,
Turning to pain and to self torment,
No one, not even me, can save her now,
From a world of hate and mistreatment.
Bridges, knives, ovens and rope,
Her mind calculated her final scheme,
A stone sinking to the bottom of the river.
Death, her favourite daydream.
You beat and pushed her down,
Why are you surprised she won't smile,
You defeated her with your jealousy and lies,
You killed my friend, my lily of the Nile.
