Chapter 5:

 

“Alright girls and guys, come inside.” Ryan stepped onto the patio and gestured for us to go into the living room.

“We’re going to miss the sunset.” I whined as Savannah and I stood up from our seats next to the pool. The house was on the top of a hill, so we had a perfect view of the valley and houses below us. The sky was slowly changing to a purple-pink colour.

“Come on, we can watch it tomorrow.” Savannah said as we grabbed our stuff and walked inside. We took our seats on an empty beige sofa, quickly joined by Charlotte, Emma and Ashley.

“Talk to Harry today?” Emma asked in a hushed whisper.

I raised my eyebrow, “Umm no, why would I do that?”

She rolled her glimmering green eyes, “Because he can’t keep his eyes off you.”

I snorted, “Well he must keep his eyes to himself, because I’m not interested. Besides if I even look at him, Riley will kill me.”

She tilted her head to the side, “Who’s Riley?”

“She’s my…” I sighed, “That girl.” I pointed to the girl giggling hysterically with Brianna. Oh Yeah, acting like you’ve just turned must be very entertaining. As she spotted me she smiled bitterly and flipped her long brown hair over her shoulder.

“Is she a friend?” Emma asked.

“Nope.” I said through gritted teeth. Why was Riley being so poopy? Oh, I never swore, by the way. But I did hate it when she was like that. I guess you could say arguing was one of our more…common activities.

“Oh, okay.” Emma dropped the subject as Ryan stepped in front of us and cleared his throat.

“I’m sure you’ve all had a good day?” He asked and we all nodded, “Great! Unfortunately, it’s time for the boys to leave. Don’t worry; you’ll be seeing one of them for the first date tomorrow. Boys?”

They all stood up and came to the front. Liam smiled at all of us, “Well it’s been lovely getting to know you girls today.”

“And you’re all amazing.” Zayn said. Oh shoot, I didn’t get to talk to him.

“And although it saddens us,” Louis sighed dramatically, “We must leave you now.”

Harry rolled his eyes, “But one of us will see you tomorrow.”

“We can’t tell you which one it is,” Niall grinned, “But he sure is looking forward to it.”

The boys said goodbye and left the room. I breathed a sigh of relief and leaned back into the chair. Yeah, now I didn’t have to sit up straight and smile like an idiot.
