*Zona's POV*
We stepped outside and I immediately felt a chill go down my spine, I could tell why Zach had told me to make sure that I was warm. I reached into my back pocket and pulled out a packet of cigarettes, offering one to Zach, which he gladly took before lighting it with my beloved black nirvana lighter. My love for that lighter was unreal, even though my prick of an ex boyfriend had given me it, it was still a wonderful thing.
I breathed in the thick fumes, letting them swirl into my lungs before slowly breathing them out, I could feel my body warming up. I followed Zach to what looked like the village green where a small number of teenagers who looked around mine and Zach's age were all stood. There was one boy who I immediately noticed, a tall, curly haired boy. He seemed to be the centre of attention and as I looked to Zach I saw him rolling his eyes.
"Jesus, what's so great about him anyway?" He shook his head in disapproval, I shrugged as we continued to walk over the the group.
Everyone turned around as we approached, it was like I was some form of new exotic creature. Which honestly, to them, I probably was. All of these people had probably known each other ever since they were children. I was an outcast.
I dropped my now finished cigarette and stubbed it out just before Zach began to introduce me to everyone.
"Zona, this is Becca," who was a short, stumpy girl in a pair of blue jeans with glasses, she had beautiful thick brown hair, "Dasiy," a ridiculously beautiful girl with incredible bone structure and might I just add amazing fashion sense, "Luke," an almost noodle like blonde boy with a cute lip ring, "Calum," cute Asian, "Michael," cute colourful hair boy "and Alex." A rather attractive brown haired boy, who then smiled at me. I was confused though, what about the centre-of-attention-bad-ass-looking-boy?
"I think you forgot someone Zachary." He piped up, smiling at Zach bitterly
"Oh yeah, Zona, this is Ashton. The biggest dickhead around. Who also happens to be my little brother." He smiled back at him, a sickly sweet smile
I nodded at him and moved in closer to Zach, and feeling slightly intimidated I spoke for the first time. Shoving my hand in my back pocket.
"Would anyone like a cigarette?" I asked politely
"Ahhhh, give us one." Ashton said, a slight Australian twang to his voice. I handed him the box as he took one out the the box and hung it in between his lips whilst he took out his own lighter and lit it. He gave me back the box before I offered them round everyone else, only Calum didn't take one. Everyone seemed to be quite chilled out with it.
Everyone was stood around, breathing in the luxurious fumes before Zach asked if anyone fancied a walk up to the moors. Everyone agreed to come, apart from Ashton. The one person I wanted to discover more about. I looked over to him and locked our eyes together, trying to see what it was that made Zach hate him so much. And why he intrigued me so much. I wanted to know everything about him.

We all began to walk away and I began to notice that there were more than friends going on in the group. The most obvious was Dasiy and Calum, who were walking hand in hand, but the not so obvious were Luke and Becca. Who looked as if they were in full on flirting mode. But it was easy enough to ignore. Daisy soon came over to speak to me, she was just as lovely as Zach had been although I noticed her accent was very similar to Ashton's. A twang of Australia coming though.
It was the same with all of them actually, which did seem rather odd to me as Zach was the only one of them who didn't. He was walking ahead, rummaging around in his bag looking for something, which I soon discovered was a Polaroid camera. Daisy laughed and shook her head at him, before grabbing onto my arm and sticking her tongue out at him whilst he laughed and snapped a photo. By the time we had reached the top of the moors where I could feel the cold wind sweeping though my hair I felt like I had been a model for some kind of photoshoot.
