Joe's POV
I heard the car pull up outside and my heart started to pound. Then I heard shouting "Joe! What the hell? I asked you to tidy up and the house looks like a pig sty!"

"Well I've had things to do" I argued back.
"Like what? No Joe! What am I supposed to do now everyone will be here in a couple of hours." She then turned to Lottie.
"I feel so bad asking you but, could you help for a bit?"

"Of course I will Zo." Lottie replied.
I was going to spend most of the day with her. "I don't know what you're so happy about?" Zoe said, tossing me a broom and with that we started cleaning.

Lottie's POV
After an hour cleaning I sat down in the kitchen. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I move out, I can't even handle hoovering.

"Hi, you sneaking away from Zoe?" He asked, making me jump.

"Oh, no I'm just..." His laugh made me feel warm inside.
"Don't worry." He said. "I am too."

We both laughed. Slowly he started to edge his way closer towards me. "You know, I'm really glad your gonna be here tonight." His smile glistened in the light as he flicked his hair back.
I loved him. I barely knew him and I loved him.

His arm touched mine but I didn't move. I felt safe with him. We sat there gazing into each other's eyes.

Then the doorbell rang. "Oh my god! It's Marcus and Niomi" Zoe shouted as she ran down the stairs.

"I've got to go get changed but I'll be back in a bit." I said before rushing out of the door.

Joe's POV
I greeted everyone and showed them in. "Zoe?" I called. "Did she say anything about me?"

"I don't think so. Except that she likes you back."

"Why didn't you say something sooner?" I asked angrily as she walked away.

I knew what I was going to do. I was gonna be a man and ask her out, nothing wrong with that. She was perfect. Her dark brown hair and bright blue eyes. She was the one.

"Joe? Are you coming?" Louise called from the living room. "We're going to play truth or dare."
Well this was going to be fun.

"Is it true, that you and Alfie got off last summer?" Dan asked my sister.

I was so bored of this game and even worse, I was sitting alone. Then suddenly I heard a knock at the door. Even opening the door would be better than this.

As I saw the figure outside, my heart rose. It was Lottie. She looked stunning in a black dress and heels with her hair flowing with ringlets.

"Wow, you look beautiful!" I said in awe as she giggled quietly. " Well come in" I said opening the door slightly.

When she walked into the living room everyone stared. "This is Lottie, our new neighbour." Zoe announced. She then went around the circle stating everyone's name and hobbies.

Lottie then sat down and we started the game again. It was now my turn. "Joe, truth or dare?" Jack asked.
"Umm, dare." I declared.

This time Zoe piped up. "Kiss one of the girls in this circle!"  There was silence. "Come on Joe, you have to do this"

My only option was Lottie, who was sitting quietly next to me. Before I knew it I had reached in and kissed her.

Lottie's POV
I felt his lips touch mine as I lifted my head to reach his. I closed my eyes and felt fireworks all around me. As we let go, I breathed in heavily. I hadn't pulled away or anything.

Everyone was silent. Then seconds after, the game carried on. I sat there and smiled at Joe. Maybe there was something between us.

Around 30 minutes later the game fizzled out and it was only me and Joe left in the room.

"Do you wanna leave?" He asked quietly. "This parties not really my scene."

He waited for my reply. I nodded, I wasn't really a person for parties anyway.

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked.
"Anywhere, as long as it's with you."
