You never know what you have until its gone. Those were the words my father told me before he passed. Me and my father were rouges. We didn't kill. We didn't harm anyone. We didn't even chose the rouge life.

When my mother died, My father got weaker by the day. The pack we were in, 'Midnight Moon' decided that he was too weak to even be in a pack. He has two choices. Be killed or go rouge. He didn't want to take me with, but the same went for me.

After being a rouge for a while, I didn't even want a pack anymore. The freedom I felt was too big to go back to pack life.

When my father died 2 years ago, thats when the real hardships came. I didn't know territory. That was the biggest issue. So far I've been lucky. Whenever I was caught, they saw i was harmless and left me alone. I found a couple friends and we were always together. There was only one pack we feared. The Red Night Pack. Never has a rouge made it past there and lived. Rule for all rouges. Don't go even near that territory.

"Marcus, were getting near the border line of Red Night." I said to my best friend.

"Hannah, were 10 miles away." My other best friend, Carrie says.

"Why cant we just go the other way?" I question.

"We will figure it out in the morning." Marcus declares "It's getting dark." and he lays down.

"I'll take the first shift." Carrie yawns as she leans against the tree.

"Don't fall asleep." I say as the memory of what happened last time floats to my mind.

"By the time your done talking it will be your turn. Go to sleep." She laughs.

I fall fast asleep after running 35 miles that day.

"Hannah, Marcus! Wake up!" Carrie whispers in a urgent tone.

My eyes shoot open and Carrie was signaling that there was wolfs coming our way and to follow her. Me and Marcus didn't hesitate and ran after her. We ran without thinking and thats how we ending up on the Red Nights Territory.

"Shit Carrie! Where did you lead us." Marcus whispers.

"We didn't run for 10 miles guys." I say.

"Yeah because we ran for 15!" Marcus says with anger clear in his voice.

"Marcus which way is shorter. Running back to where we were or going the rest of the way to get the hell out of here."

"Lets see. If we go North, we die. East? We die. South is death and same for West."

"The longer we stand here the more of a chance we have of death!" Carrie shouts.

"Keep your voice down!" I whisper scream.

"Im running South. Carrie you run East and Hannah you run West" Marcus says.

We all start running.

I run for a little and heard something. I shake it off and keep running until I hear, "Nice try rouge." Someone says putting a knife to my throat.

AN// sorry its so short kinda a really important filler :)
