Being 9 months pregnant is no joke. I can't wear any type of shoe with a heel, no regular sized pants fit me, I want to devour everything in sight, and my mood swings are absolutely crazy. It's been a couple months since those chaotic events happened, and I'm glad to relish in the fact that life has gone back to normal. Well, that is as normal as ones life can be as Prince Harold's fiancée.
Surprisingly, I've gained so much attention everywhere. All over the globe, people were now learning my name and my style habits. I have interviews day and night, events that are now mandatory to attend, and I barely get any sleep. The sleep that I do get, I can thank Harold for. He somehow managed to fit that into my heavy scheduling.
The first few months after the Declan incident were overwhelmingly difficult. With learning to adjust to my new life and dealing with Declan's case, I felt almost mad. After Harold begged me to give the authority my photo album of pictures that Declan did to me, Declan was given life imprisonment and that somewhat settled my freight. "You'll never have to worry about that son of a bastard again. Not if I have any say in it." I remember Harold saying as he caressed me in his arms. I had woken up in a cold sweat screaming about Declan trying to kill me many times over the months, but that night was the worst. I was hysterical.
Lately, I haven't had anytime to have night terrors due to my busy day. That's one of the many blessings in disguise, I guess. Another blessing is definitely my stylist, Tasha. I love not having to pick my own outfit out, I tell her what type of styles to look for when shopping and she finds the perfect clothing.
The downsides of my new life are not getting a lot of privacy anymore. Inside and outside of our living space, there always seems to be someone here. If it's not Harold's advisor, it's my instructor, someone my mom hired to teach me etiquette. I had one when I was younger, but this new one is directly from the royal directory. When Harold and I do find time to be around each other, it's in the wee hours in the morning and we end up falling asleep. When I wake, he's already gone.
Sometimes we get other opportunities to be around each other, buts it's only for the photo ops or an event.
Harry's mother assured me that it's only because we're a new couple and the hectic lifestyle will slow down eventually. I don't expect it to stop completely, though. After all, Harold is a heir to the British throne and I will be his wife.
"You sit, dear! We will do this." Princess Anne, or Annie, as she instructs me to call her, says. It's February 3rd, a couple days after Harold's actual birthday, and our new home is bustling with people running through it. "I want to help do something!" I pout, watching my mom dash into the kitchen. "Just sit there and be pregnant." Niall smiles, coming from the loo.
I decided that I wanted to throw Harold a quiet family dinner for his birthday. I let the word out to Annie and my mum and they completely took over. "You lot are going to make it seem like the party that the palace had for him on his actual birthday!" I say, trying to push myself off of the couch. It was hard to appear angry when I couldn't even get myself off of the couch properly. Liam had to hoist me up. "Thank you." I say quickly before continuing my journey towards the kitchen.
"Everyone who is not family or friends of mine or Harold's, out!" I should with my hands on my hips. Annie and Georgie look at me astonished. If I weren't so hellbent right now, I'd probably be shocked at myself.
"I'm not trying to be rude. I just want a normal family dinner. Thank you for your services but we will not be needing them any longer." I say. Silently thanking God for the food not being started. "You will be paid graciously for your time and efforts but I will now be taking over."
"But sweet-"
"Mum." I stop her. I walk over to the counter and aggressively grab a banana. I love those things. "Now, you are all of my guests. In my new home that I share with Harold. Please go and take a seat in our family area as I prepare things. It is a night of celebration and relaxation. Please go." I say, in a very polite but assertive tone.
