At school a few days later, Muffins & Strudel had 3rd period study hall with Mrs. Barber.
"Lets skip" said Muffins.
"Okay" said Strudel. "I've heard nothing but bad about Mrs. Barber."
So they headed toward the bathroom to skip.
Doreen and her best friend Fiona were out in the hall.
"Here, have this" said Fiona, handing them each a bottled drink.
Muffins and Strudel stayed in the bathroom for the rest of the day.
After school, Kiwi & Pancake stayed to get English help.
Strudel & Muffins watched as the last bus left the school. "What bus do we ride again?" said Muffins.
"I don't remember" said Strudel.
Kiwi and Pancake walked out of the school. "Hey, are you guys gonna walk home with us?" Kiwi asked.
"Uh, yeah" said Muffins, heading the opposite direction of their neighborhood.
"Um, Muffins, this way" Pancake pulled him toward the right direction.
"No, let's stop at the concession stand and get food first" Kiwi said.
As they walked to the concession stand, Strudel slipped his hand into Pancake's.
She looked at him questioningly, and he gave her a blank stare. She decided to just go along with it.
At the concession stand, Strudel bought some Gobstoppers. "Want one?" he asked Pancake.
"Sure" Pancake replied.
Strudel popped one into his mouth, moved his head towards Pancake, and gently kissed her, letting the candy fall into her mouth.
"Sorry" Strudel said, and they continued walking.
Pancake stayed silent.
Muffins picked up a flyer off of a telephone pole. "What the hell is this?" he asked, his speech slurred.
Kiwi grabbed the flyer and read it aloud. "Lost Goose, Reward if found. Call Bob"
"Seriously?" Pancake said.
When they finally reached their neighborhood, it was already starting to get dark outside.
As Kiwi and Muffins headed left towards their houses, Strudel offered to walk Pancake home.
"You don't have to" Pancake said. "No one is home anyways"
"I'll stay" Strudel said. "Wanna watch a movie?"
"You can walk me home, but I have homework to do" Pancake said.
Once they got to her house, Pancake went up to her room, turned the radio on, sat down on her bed and got out her math homework.
"Stick on the Radio out like a fat kid playing dodgeball, Kane's up next with the Interactive 7@7"
As #7 started, (Disco Inferno) Strudel came in and laid next to Pancake.
"Strudel, I'm fine now" said Pancake. "You can go home"
Strudel knocked Pancake's books off of her bed and started kissing her. (#6-Lovers & Friends)
"Strudel, stop it" Pancake said, trying to push him off. Last thing she remembered was the cue to call.
A couple hours later, Strudel was still on top of her, as she heard the Cynthia commercial.
She didn't remember what happened after that, either.
She woke up to Valentine, and realized she was going to miss the bus if she didn't hurry.
She couldn't remember everything that happened, but she remembered bits and pieces.
Pancake quickly got ready, and ran to the bus stop.
"Hey Pancake" Strudel said. She ignored him.
As she got on the bus, Carlotta sat down next to her. "Hey Pancake" she said.
Pancake just stared out the bus window.
"Helloooo?? Earth to Pancake!"
"Huh? What?" Pancake looked up. "Oh, sorry, hi"
"Are you okay?" Carlotta asked.
"I'm fine!!" Pancake shot back.
"God, you don't have to scream at me" said Carlotta. "I just asked you a simple question"
"I said, I'm fine" Pancake was getting annoyed.
"Then what's that?" Carlotta asked.
