Robin and Regina sat at a long awaited fireplace picnic. The Charmings have happily agreed to take Henry, Roland, and Opal for the night, giving the couple the whole night to themselves. Soft candle light had Regina's features glowing, Robin couldn't help but smile at his beautiful wife.
Regina sipped her wine (white, to fit the occasion) and took a little dollop of whipped cream on her finger and stuck it on Robin's nose, causing both to giggle. The night was perfect so far, with chocolate covered strawberries and lasagna from Granny's. Classical music played quietly in the background, which had given Robin the idea to dance. They hadn't really gotten the opportunity at their wedding reception, because being in Storybrooke, nobody's safe at any given time. That time around, the reception had to be cut short before the first dance because of some new big scary fire-breathing monster that had run it's havoc over the town.
At this time, Robin had gotten up to play a song on Regina's ipod. He switched the song to "Let's Make Love", a song by a country artist called Faith Hill. A genre he had never heard of, but the first time he heard the song he couldn't help but think of his beloved.
The song began to play, and Robin extended a hand out to Regina, helping her off the floor. She wrapped herself around his middle, and rested her head on his shoulder.
Baby I've been drifting away,
and dreaming all day
I'm holding you
touching you
the only thing I wanna do
is be with you
as close to you as I can be
Let's make loveThe lyrics drifted over them as they swayed slowly to the rhythm. The songs ballad was genuine, and Robin felt he had chosen the right song to share their first dance with. A lot of planning had gone into this night, he wanted it to be romantic, and pleasurable. The song progressed, and Robin muttered the lyrics,
"Do you know what you do to me,
everything inside of me
is wanting you
and meeting you
I'm so in love with you."He felt Regina smile on his shoulder. She looked up at him, and planted a very firm and loving kiss upon his lips. Her right hand moved to massaged the back of his head, while his left hand ran soothing circles up and down her back. She rested her forehead on his, and smiled at the little bit of crusty he had left from the whip cream he had on his nose.
Let's make love
all night long
until all our strength is gone
and hold on tight
just let go
I wanna feel you in my soul
until the sun comes up,
Let's make loveThey shared a swift, chaste kiss, and as the song began to come to a close, Regina led Robin up stairs and into the bedroom, wear they'd collapse into bed. She chuckled as she rolled into him and stated the words, "Let's make love."
The night ended in a flourish of "I love you"'s, clothes flying and blankets woven tightly around them. It was a perfect end to a perfect night shared between the couple, they enjoyed being tangled in each other's arms for the last time in a long time, but couldn't wait for family time the next morning.
