Root words are a very important part of the English language and so these ten root words will explain a part of my unit six roots. I will give the root words name, language, and definition in two paragraphs.
The first root word I have is multi and multi means many. Then semi and semi means half as well. Demi means half. Sol means alone. And mill means thousand. All of these root words are Latin besides sol. Sol is Greek.
Another five root words are equi which means equal. Hemi means half. Omni means all. Cent means hundred and kilo means thousand. All of these root words are Latin besides hemi. Hemi is Greek.
In conclusion most root words support the language of English for example, hemi means half. Thanks for reading.
