Her Best Friend's Girlfriend

Chapter 1

It all started as a regular day.

Wake up early,

Try to go back to sleep,

Have mom pull me out of bed,

Check all of my social media websites,

Get dressed,

Eat breakfast,

Go to school, etc.

You get the idea, everything seemed to be going like usual.

Once I got out of the car I went straight to my locker, and I found Brendan there, like usual, but this time he had someone next to him. I didn't know exactly who it was because I had never seen them here before.

"Hannah!" Brendan  yelled, from all the way on the other side of the hall.

"Brendan!" I yelled back trying to imitate what he did.

"Hannah, meet Laren, " Brendan introduced the new girl to me, "My girlfriend."

Girlfriend?

I was a bit surprised by this, I mean would this mean that she would be hanging out with us? Would this mean that Brendan would be hanging out with her more than he would with me? I have to say this is a whole new way of living for us! For me at least considering the fact that I have never had a boyfriend. Brendan on the other hand has had at least 4 girlfriends in the past, I don't even know why he dates to be honest, I mean he breaks up with them after about a month. But for his sake I had to put on my best fake smile and pretend that i was okay with this. For now at least.

"I'm Hannah." I then held out my hand and he we shook hands. (A/N: I didn't know how to word that exactly tbh *inserts laughing emoji*)

Throughout the rest of the day I got to know Laren, she seemed like a nice girl, but I have to say that i feel like there was something off with her. I don't know if it is the best friend jealousy kicking in but there I just have this feeling that she's bad news.

*Skips to end of the day*

I am now at my house with Brendan working on homework and I couldn't hold it in any longer.

"So how long do you think this relationship of yours is gonna last?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He said to me with a slight laugh at the end, while I looked at him with an 'are you serious?' look.

"What do I mean?" I said with a hint of sarcasm in my voice, "Have you not noticed that every relationship you have had so far hasn't worked out, I am just saying."

"Well this relationship is going to be different than all of the others, you don't know Laren like I do." He said to me with this expression on this look that I knew meant that he actually had feeling for this girl.

"Well I'm not so sure, I mean this girl seems pretty suspicious to me." He then turned to look at me like I was crazy that I thought his girlfriend seemed 'suspicious'. But I knew something was up, and I was going to find out about it.
