My life is terrible. All day every day I get ignored, yelled at and beaten up. I still have no idea why everyone hates me so much. Maybe it's because I'm different, all the other girls at the orphanage are all mean and ugly. One day I'll escape from this dump, one day I'll have a life, a real one with friends and maybe, just maybe, I might someone who cares.

THE NEXT DAY

"Get up you lazy girl!" Harriet the orphanage owner yells at me.
"You mustn't be talking to me because I'm not lazy!" I screech back.
"Well you better get up or else I'll burn it!"
"Ok..."
What if I don't want to get my hair burnt like Harriet wants. Maybe I want to keep my beautiful blonde hair. So I get up and quickly get dressed. I sigh as I look in the mirror. Same old work day clothes boring green dress and black shoes, again.

After hours of working I settle down into my bed and go over my escape plan. Tonight is my escape night, I think to myself.

LATER THAT NIGHT

CRASH! The window smashes as I burst through it and land on the ground. I start sprinting away from the orphanage as fast as I can, towards the woods. I will be safe there, I think to myself.

I climb a tree as fast as possible and find a fork in the branches. As soon as I find one I pull out my supplies. A sleeping bag, food, water and my knife. I place my sleeping bag at the base of the tree where it is sheltered with bushes. I hang my supplies in the fork In the branches, climb into my sleeping bag and immediately fall asleep in my sleeping bag.
