Three Simple Words

Chapter 3

The next day, the sun was already up at five surprisingly.
I got up at the shock of my alarm clock plus my phone's alarm buzzing away.
I got an early shower and went straight to fixing my hair.
I wasn't a type of make up person so I have none.
I got up early coz I promised Stephanie that I would pick her up since her dad borrowed her car for a field trip since his car has some minor technical problems.
I got down and obviously everyone was still asleep so I made myself a egg and bacon with toast breakfast before heading to Stephey's place.
Stephanie is a punctual person which is why her boyfriend, Jake Roberts, love her so much.
Well if you're surprised. Stephanie does have a boyfriend and they have been dating almost a year now. Stephey is very pretty with her firery orange and red hair and her green eyes with very smooth skin. Yes she is pretty and beautiful and Jake is her perfect match.
As for me, I ain't no boyfriend type person. Stephanie tries to push me to at least put on make up and all but I totally refuse.
I pull in to Stephanie's driveway and isn't surprised by her sitting at her front veranda porch. I beep and she comes and sit down next to me at the passenger sit and we drive off to school.
Then she goes again annoying about the so-called term "BOY TALK.
"So", stephey starts off,"you were early today to pick me up and thank you for sticking up to your word ".
"Of course, you are my best friend. What are friends for".
"Grace, I have to ask you a question".
"Come on stephey. Spit it out. What is it?".
" Well yesterday was all shocking on what you said to Josh, Derrick, Bryan and them. I mean I am happy for you but didn't you recognize Josh's face. He was blushing about your reaction towards Derrick's annoyance. I think.... I think he likes..."
"O shut up Stephanie. Eww gross! Why would he even like me. Do you see the way he treats me. He is so annoying".
Stephanie laughs.
"OK. Sorry but that's true you know. I know you hate him but pretty soon you will like him and also admit that he's cute, handsome and attractive. Come on".
"Stephanie!".
Stephanie gives me that looks in which I know that she knows that I want to admit it.
"Fine!! He is cute but that doesn't change who he is you know. His evil".
"See you admitted". Stephanie says happily.
"OK OK. The cops might come to us Ms. Stalker you do know you are in my car".
We laugh and drive off to school.
Beverly Hills High School is peaceful but the students there are way rough.
I parked outside at the schoolparking lot and we walk in yet still laughing at our conversation earlier.
I didn't notice that I had slipped and fell right into Josh's arms and I surprisingly look up at his face in which I could see a blush form but then his friends walked up to him so he pretended to push me up and walked to his friends.
Stacey walks up to me.
"Hey, are you OK".
"Ye I'm fine".
We walk silently to our first math period but that little accident with Josh keeps locked up in my head and I just couldn't help but blush.
I think I am actually falling for that guy. Just then, while being surrounded in my own jungle of thoughts, Stephanie disturbs me.
"Hey! Hello". She waves her hand in front of my face. I suddenly come out of the thought, starring a little at Josh and his friends which were standing at his locker. Ugh, what am I thinking. He hates me and I hate him more than ever.
"Hey, I have been calling your name for like about one hour and why are you blushing? I can really tell whats going on in your head right now."
Stephanie can be creepy sometimes. You know, she can actually tell you what you are thinking about so I quickly changed what was in my mind.
"Ugh! Sorry Steph. I was just thinking about our math quiz today,"I smile trying to convince her but she gives me that type of stare which I know that she isn't convinced at all.
"Look", she holds my arm," you can tell me anything. Either it's with boys or your own problems. Just let me know OK". I nodded
We laugh a little and head to the cafeteria.
On our way, we sit at the last sit and talk alone when Jake comes in between our conversation.
" Hey you two". Jake says trying his best not to change the mood because he likes it when Stephanie is laughing and just be happy.
Stephanie turns around.
"Hey babe". She says having fun talking to him already.
"Hi Jake". I say in between their stare towards each other.
I kind of feel cute every time they do that.
"So Stephey, um my parents are going for camping this weekend and I asked them if you could join and they said yes so would you like to come with me?".
Jake looked almost like pleading .
"Yes Jake. I would to come but you will have to ask my sister because she allows me to do stuff".
They both look at ma and I gave an agreeable nod and Jake kisses Stephanie on the cheeks, leaving her to blush and goes sits down with his friends.
I then looked at her.
" So you are going go camp on the next weekend and I will be stuck here all by myself".
" Maybe I can ask Jake if he can ask his parents for you to come."

Later on went and Jake's parents approved me of going too so ye.
On the other hand, my feelings for Josh keeps on going stronger everyday when I see him.
I don't know why I am feeling this.
I think it had been happening to him to because of the way he would look at me thinking that I wouldn't realize it when I actually am taking note of it and little blushes that comes from his cheeks when ever we bump into each other.
Actually it has been like almost everyday we had been bumping into each other. Some were meant from his friends in the teasing way cause they sort of found out about his crush I think and some would only be accidents but I felt more than that. I just didnt know why.
Finally, it was Friday afternoon and I couldn't wait to go camping.
I drive off to my house and of course no one at home cares about my life so I just start packing for my camping when Jason come in my room.
"It has been along time since I have seen you lately around the house", he starts off.
"Hi Jason. Sorry that I couldn't be here for your celebration but I did help with the decorations you know". I say teasingly.
" ye I know you would and may I ask where you are going on this Friday afternoon."
" O I am sorry but Stephanie invited me to go camping with her family this weekend and plus noone cares about how I live my life, what I want in life and everything so I guess you shouldn't care at all!"
"Grace. Don't say that. No matter what our family says, I am still your big brother and I will always care about my little ones. But have a great time camping and if you need anything, just remember to pick up your phone and brrbrrbriing. I will be right here OK".
I nod and he lives my room.
Even though everything in my family goes wrong, he is always there for me and tries to make my day.
Anyway, I continue packing the necessary things needed and headed out the house where stephey is already waiting with Jake and his parents.
I hop on and we go on for camping.
I wander what I do there.......,...................
