"Look I know how you feel. It's a crazy experience.." Monk started.

"No it's not the experience that bothers me. It's that I didn't know." I replied. Ky nodded at me like it was time for me to spill the beans on my dirty little secret. I just didnt know what to say. Everything was turning upside down. I never wanted this to happen again. I left that life behind.

"Do you still have it?" Ky asked. I nodded my head with a deep sigh.

"I have never left without it since the day you gave it to me. I mean you told me to never let it go." I replied. Ky nodded at me again like this news pleased him but he didnt say it. I could feel the anger and jealousy in Masako's and Mia's angry glares. When I looked at them their faces were as beat red as a tomato.

"Then I don't understand show something like this could happen." Lin saying exactly what I was thinking.

"What are you guys talking about?" Arianna asked. I took a deep breath and began a story only know two a few of us.

"Ky and I knew each other when we were little. We became good... Aquantences due to a bond of power. Ky always seemed so much more in control of his power but when ever I tried to use my power it ended in catastrophe. So I never wanted to use my powers but spirits were always drawn to me. The spirits were attracted to my high level of spiritual energy, they hoped to feed off of that energy. I couldn't make it stop so Ky and Lin made me a special amulet with a protection seal that would force my powers to become dormant and make the spirits unable to come close to me. The amulet did allow me the ability to sense the spirits if they got to close to me. I have always worn it no matter what and it always seemed to work, but before I could thank them they were gone." I finished taking a deep breath. Everyone looked from me to Ky to Lin with a curious and uncertain expression mirrored on all their faces. Ky ignored them and started barking orders.

"Let's set up all of our equipment. Mia, make sure to set up a microphone and camera in every room. We will set up base in Della's room." He commanded.

"Wait what!? Why does it have to be my room?" I asked. Ky didnt even have to think, he just spat out logic like it was so obvious, or like he expected me to ask that very question.

"We need to set up base there because it appears that the spirit is targeting or using your spiritual energy to target someone else. In which means your room, due to how your powers work, is probably not where the ghost will be located since it is such a sacred place to you. So without even realizing it your powers forced a protective barrier around your room; even I can sense that." He explained so matter-of-fact.

"Wait but this whole house is special to me. So why is it that my powers didnt create a a barrier around the whole house instead of just my room?" I asked curiously.

"That would be because of the seal we gave you. With your powers being dormant they weren't strong enough to force a barrier around the whole building so it focused on the one place that holds your specific spiritual signature." He explained. Having no more questions. I just sighed and showed them the way.

Everyone hurried around setting up equipment on my desk and around the floor and in all the open space. A bunch of my bean bags and comfy chairs were taken from my closet and set up around the equipment. Everyone was setting up the rest of the equipment except Ky, Lin, and I.

"So you own your own ghost hunting business?" I asked casually in hope to start up a conversation. Ky casually raised his head to acknowledge me.

"Yes, I created the foundation for this business." He replied coldly. What happened? I asked myself. I remeber when he use to smile, even if it was only a little bit, but now he was completely cold.

"I should have guessed you would do something like this when you... Left." The last word felt like ice in my throat but it didnt stop the question that burst from my lips. "What happened to you!? You left without even saying goodbye." I pointed out sadly. I hated the way I felt. The unwavering sadness that filled my heart when I thought about back then.

"Look I don't want to have to get in this conversation right now. Maybe we could pick another time to discuss this," He said. I couldn't argue with him about it. So in response I nodded and he turned back to his work.

Great! Feeling a knowing hunger inside me I ran downstairs to get a tray of drinks and some food.

Snacks; Cookies, crackers, and cheese with tea all fit comfortably on a carrying tray that I found in one of the kitchen cabinets. I picked up the tray and began to head back to my room when all of a suddenly the tray was pushed from my hands with such force it scattered to the floor. The tea glasses crashed and the snacks flew everywhere. I bent to pick everything up when I was pushed, with great force, against the wall.

There was nothing I could do. Whatever threw me against the wall did it with such strength I felt all the air rush out of my body. But of course that wasn't the end of it. Cookies were being pelted at my face and hot tea was poured onto my arm, scorching the skin. I screamed out in pain as my hand burned and sizzled with blistering pain. That was the moment when Monk and John rushed into the kitchen followed by everyone else.
