mistakes

snow was falling gently as i walk down the noisy and busy streets of tokyo. the streets was full of colorful lights and decorations as people happily celebrates Christmas eve with their love ones. i smiled at the scenery and continued to walk. as i pass by a certain park, a lot of kids came running around in groups and played different kinds of games that would satisfy themselves while their parents supervising them from afar. just by looking at their happy faces, i let out a chuckle. how i miss the times when me and my friends use to play like that, even in highschool, we use to play like bunch of kids, running around, not giving a care in the world. i wonder where they are right now? i hope their doing fine.

i let out a huff, still feeling a bit dizzy from all the alcohol i had earlier. as i continue to walk, my head started to hurt. i clenched my eyes and groaned in pain. maybe the effect of alcohol is finally taking over my body.

'i shouldn't have drink too much.' i said and let out a heavy sigh.

'isn't that a little too late for you to say?' a familiar voice said.

i chuckled in response. 'were you following me?' i said with a smirk.

'i think you're drunk already.' she said.

'i guess. where are you headed anyway?' i ask.

'my friends invited me to a party, so i'm heading to their place.'

'i see.' i said as gazed at the sky. it feels weird talking to her right now after everything thats happened but it also feels nice to have someone to talk to.

'ne, Mami, do you hate me?'

she sighed before giving her answer. 'no. but i'm still mad. i know you didn't mean to do it Haru but-'

'i know. i shouldn't have drank too much. i'm really sorry. things just gotten out of hand. I'm sure you understand my situation.' i said cutting her off.

'i do, both of you were drunk. i understand that but just....just don't do it again. please, i don't want our friendship get destroyed because of this.' she said in a rather serious voice.

'i know. i won't do it again Mami. i swear. and i hope you won't do it again either.' i said while looking at her and she just smiled while giving a nod in reply.

weeks have pass since that accident happen but the memories kept haunting me since then. it was raining really hard and the four of us decided to have a little party at my house. not that there was something big to celebrate, we just wanted to hang out and enjoy each others company. while waiting for Mami and Tomo to arrive, Rina and i already prepared everything we needed. after a few minutes we both receive a text from the duo stating they couldn't come because of the heavy rain. Rina got really sad but still suggested that we continue the party so i opened a bottle of tequila and sliced some lemons. its not like this is the first time we had a drinking session alone but i did say that if she doesn't want to drink with me, i could just open a bottle of light beer for her but she declined so we just started drinking. after we finished drinking the bottle of tequila, i stood up and started cleaning. Rina on the other hand, whined. she insisted we should open another bottle but i refused since i know Rina isn't a heavy drinker and that she's already drunk to this point. the tall brunette still insisted though and started bothering me while i clean so i told her to take a shower first before we open another bottle. she happily agreed thinking i was serious of letting her drink more.

after 20 minutes of cleaning and waiting, i realized Rina still hasn't come out from the bathroom, so i quickly ran to come and get her. when i open the door, Rina was fully naked and was now laying on the tiled floor, not moving an inch. i immediately panicked and carried her on the living room.
