It had been almost a hundred years since the Cullens had been to Forks. Enough time for anyone who knew them to be long dead. They said they were returning because they need a new yet familiar setting. It was a lie. Edward really just wanted to pay some respects to Bella's grave and his family hoped the closure would bring a little spark back in his life. Maybe look around  to see what she had done, what kind of life she had lived without him. Maybe she had kids. Grand kids. Edward wanted to know what had become of his true love, his other half and if she had been able to live a full life without him.

The Cullens had made a stop at the cemetary before settling into their old home. Forks was a small town, still the same even though the economy had grown. It was still filled with the desendants of the ansestors who had lived here first. New comers came but they didn't stay long so the cemetert was awful small. It didn't take long to go all the way through it once. Twice. Three times.

"She's not here!" Edward growled in frustration. "Why isn't she here? Charlies here. His mom's here. Where the hell is Bella?"

"Edward calm down. Maybe she moved back to Arizona. She might be ..." Esme trailed off, but Edward her the last of her sentence play in her head. She might be buried there. Esme place a comforting hand on her son. " Let's go settle in, do some hunting. Over the weekend you can make a trip up and check."

"We still need to enroll you in school." Carlisle said. "So Friday would be good."

" I'll meet you guys at home." Edward said tightly, a clear indication that he wanted to be alone. He could not stand to hear their concerns, practically shouting at him in his head.

" Don't... break anything." Esme said. Edward just nodded. His family glanced at him quickly, knowing he was about to break down, then dissappeared. When Edward could no longer here the sound of their soft footfall, his wavering mask crumbled.

Edward began to cry, a silent, tearless cry.
