PROLOGUE:

"Good morning loser!" I barely restrained rolling my eyes at the greeting I had received every day since the start of senior year. You would think, that after 4 years of highschool, Julia North and the rest of her cheerleaders would come up with something more creative to call me, but that's brainless bimbos for you.

Plastering a fake smile on my face, like I was one of the many dumb students willing to follow Julia off a cliff like an upsettingly loyal puppy, I gave her the exact same response I always used. "Good morning Julia, girls. How are you this morning?" Smirking, Julia tossed a lock of blonde hair behind her ear and blew an annoyingly large bubble with her gum.

"It's fine Hailey, so nice of you to ask. But y'know, it really sucks. I totally forgot to write my essay for English. I really think I need to borrow yours. You don't mind do you?"  It was always something like that. Every day Julia demanded tribute, and on the days I didn't provide it, she made my days an even bigger hell.

"Oh gee sorry Julia." I responded with fake despair. "I totally already turned mine in the day it was due, so you'll just have to find someone else to steal it from." An enraged look crossing her face, Julia snapped one perfectly manicured finger, and her right hand crony, Kenzie, reached out and smacked all of the books from my hands.

"Later loser." Julia snapped, making sure to step on my hand with one of her deadly heels before parading away with the rest of her posse. Refusing to allow other kids in the crowded hallway to stare at me with pity, I forced myself up, collected my books, and continued on my way to the lunchroom. I hadn't been lying when I had told her my essay was turned in. The truth was, that I, Hailey, am the biggest nerd in the entire universe of nerds.

My assignments are always done early, I know all the Avengers movies like they are my religion, and oh right, I'm hated by the dumb popular kids because I can actually do stuff they can't.

"Hey Hailey." I instantly brightened at the sound of my best friend Jessa's voice. Jessa had met me in sophomore year when I helped her recover from one of Julia's feared verbal assaults. We had quickly become fast friends after that, even though we were nothing alike.

I was short, with wavy black hair and dark forest green eyes, while Jessa was astoundingly tall with straight brown hair and blue eyes. I was a nerd, she was a basketball player that also loved partying and makeup. Don't ask me how it worked, it just did.

"What's going on?" I asked her as we made our way over to the traditional table of Nerds, where Jessa sat even though she really could have fit in with her basketball friends.

"I watched Julia try and get your homework again." Jessa said sympathetically, plopping her books down on the table and opening her brown bag lunch that contained one of the most delicious sandwiches ever made, by her mother the gourmet chef.

"It was no biggie, she'll fail, I won't." I said philosophically, reaching for my own packed lunch, which held only a crumbled muffin and water. I never had time in the mornings, so I usually just grabbed whatever worked. The lunchroom began to fill up with more and more hungry students, and soon enough Jessa and I were joined by my fellow nerd friends. Thomas, Andrea, Killian, Violet, and Lucas.

"That's not the point though Hails." Andrea said determinedly, while Thomas, her twin brother nodded in agreement, taking a giant bite out of his sandwich. Both average height, with blonde hair and blue eyes, you had to get to know them to know that they were great people, and not at all dumb blondes. "The point is Julia treats you like shit, and you don't deserve that at all."

"Agreed." Violet was Chinese, and her mother was very strict about her grades, yet she managed to stay carefree and involved. "It's our last year of highschool Hailey, don't you want to show her what you're made of? Get your last revenge?"

"I appreciate the sentiment guys, I really do." I told them, handing my math homework over to Lucas so he could check it with his. "But the only thing I want to show her Is my acceptance letter into Harvard."

"Oh come on Hailey!" Lucas admonished, looking up from my homework with dismay written on his face. Out of all of us, he looked the most like the stereotypical nerd. Thick rimmed glasses with watery brown eyes and dark hair, Lucas was picked on the most, but he had also managed to snag an early admissions into Yale, which we were all very proud about. "You're the bravest out of all of us. You have to!"

"Not going to happen." I announced firmly, ignoring the dramatic sighs I received. The truth was I really didn't care about getting the best of Julia, as long as I maintained my over four point GPA, I was fine with her giving me hell every day. I knew she would turn out worse than me, and that kept me going.

Later on, with five minutes to go in lunch, I was stopped cold in debating the downsides of Star Wars episodes 1 2 and 3 with Andrea by Julia's high pitched voice as it rang in my ears, and I felt something slimy and cold plop down on my head with a wet thud.

"Too bad you didn't feel like sharing your essay with me." She hissed, strutting away while her cheerleading friends laughed and congratulated her.

"Oh Hailey!" Jessa cried out, grabbing her napkin and dabbing away at the spaghetti that covered me, frantically snatching limp noodles out of my hair. Shaking her away, I was filled with a sense of anger that I had never felt so strongly before. Standing up and grabbing Thomas's soda, I stormed over to the popular table, where Julia and Kenzie were highfiving the jocks.

"Hey Julia." I snapped, opening the lid and dumping it on her carefully groomed hair. "I'm thinking your appearance needs a little something special today." Ignoring her shrieks of shock and outrage, I was heading back to the table when I felt her claw at my shirt, yanking on it so that she was practically choking me. "Let go!" I shouted, frantically trying to escape her grasp. I was cut short by the sound of a sickening rip as I felt the fabric of my t-shirt being ripped and the laughs of many as it fell away and I was left alone standing there in my bra. Giving me an absolutely venomous look, Julia spat on my face, a smug little smile lighting up on hers.

"Loser." she smirked, waltzing back to her seat.

And even as my loyal friends rushed over to shield me from the eyes of the cafeteria, I felt my anger swell up into something bigger. The need for retribution. My friends were right. It was time for Nerd Girl's Revenge.

AN: Heeeeeey! So whadda y'all think? I've been sitting on this idea for a while, so I'm not sure whether or not it's worth continuing. I'm completely at your mercy here, so please tell me if it sounds intriguing enough to write a first chapter! Love all of you! MWAH! Comment vote and fan!
