This is is, she thought. This is how it's going to end. Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward, into the light. The chains around her ankles and wrists, clanging against each other, were the only sounds in the room. Dark and chilling, the old warehouse was being lit by a few dim, flickering lights. The majority of the building was shrouded in darkness, with one single spot having light.

This is where it happened. While he sat in the shadows, smiling, his victims, were forced to be vulnerable, in the brightness. They all knew what would happen, the suspense built as he said nothing. The silence grew until it was too much for his hostages and they would scream out at him, begging for it to stop.

This is when it happened. Within seconds, he was at their throats, slicing away to his heart's desire. His prey's blood dripping onto his steady hands, the blood splatter on his lips, his smile. The definition of psychopath. He doesn't move again until he hears the sickening thud of the body hitting the floor, echoing in the empty warehouse. He licks the blood off his lips and whistles as he walks away.

It's happening. She closed her eyes tight and tried to control her breathing. Her eyes still shut, she heard the footsteps, slowly getting closer and closer, the wait was agonizing. In desperation, she shouted, "Oh, just do it!" and his hands were on her. One at the front of her throat, the other at the back of her head, grasping a clump of her hair. He put his lips to her ear and she could feel every breath he took.

"Are you ready, my dear?" he whispered, staying close and sniffing her hair as if it were a piece of meat. "Say goodbye."

A single tear slowly rolled down her cheek as she whispered, "Goodbye." Then the knife was deep into her throat, painstakingly slow as he worked his way from one side to the other. A bloodcurdling scream escaped her lips as she cried out in pain. Pouring out of her was a steady flood of her bright red blood; down her neck and body. Her screams grew quieter, until it was dead silent. Her body fell

And that's how it happened.
