Number 1 and 2: Sadness and Anger
Gowther looked down on Redni's pained expression. Her chest was rising slowly up and down in short ragged breaths. Sweat beaded her temple and bandages covered her arms, head, and stomach. Her purple locks were scattered across the pillows. Gowther wondered why she took the blow for him. It made no logical sense. Unlike her he could recover quickly. She should know, after all, she has seen him put his head back on after being severed. His eyes lowered as the he remembered that moment quite clearly.
The enemy was charging straight at him. They numbered to at least ten and were stronger than the usual bandits. Ban and Meliodas were busy with their group, and Diane and King were busy with theirs. Redni, their newest recruit, was helping anyway she could with her magical power. She wasn't a sin, at least not yet. Meliodas was considering making it the Eight Deadly Sins. Redni had exceptional strength and magical power, but her fighting experience was little to none. She was kept as a magic user in the back to keep herself from harm.
Gowther was shooting his sacred bow sniping as many enemy's as possible before they got too close. However one of the enemies did get a bit too close. He was about to turn around and deliever the guy a kick to the gut. When Redni saw this she wouldn't have it and pushed Gowther out of the way. Redni screamed as the ax peirced her delicate skin and blood stained her clothes.
Gowther felt something bubble up inside of him. His eyes narrowed and a pink aura surrounded him as he readied his bow and shot the attacker. The final enemy collapsed as Gowther ran to Redni's side and tried to calm himself. What was going on with him?
He lifted Redni in his arms as the others showed up. Diane bellowed in rage as she saw her friend like that. Diane, Redni, and Elizabeth became good friends being the only women in the group, even though one was 30 feet tall. Ban was about to pick up his alcohol chugging partner but Gowther did it for him, and her blood spread over his shirt. The glare from his glasses covered his expression but none of the other sins had ever seen him look like that.
When they arrived back at the Boar Hat, Elizabeth, Diane, and King did all they could to keep her alive until they found a doctor. Now she was resting after being healed, with all the others sleeping in the hall. (Diane was outside her window.) Gowther decided to go in and check on her.
Redni stirred in her sleep bringing Gowther back to reality. His golden eyes snapped back to her face as she whimpered in pain. Gowther felt something click in his mind before he grabbed her hand and leaned his forehead down on hers. Slight tears prickled his eyes, threatening to spill over. "You'll be alright." was the only thing that broke the silence.
Number 3: Guilt
It was a week after the incident, and Redni was up and going helping cook with Ban. But she was mainly doing it to sneak food to Hawk, the Boar Hat's Supreme Captain of Leftovers. Gowther was in charge of teaching her how to control her magic, and every time she got a pained expression from her injury, Gowther felt something in his chest that he couldn't explain. That was suprising to him, considering his dictionary-like mind. What could possibly be going on?
Redni yawned as Gowther ended his lesson. Her violet eyes landed on his chest, and she could see the muscle flexing underneath. She blushed and pushed that thought aside. He held no emotion, or at least didn't show it. He was completely unfazeable. He was the type she tended to ignore. So why did she like him so much? His glasses? Yeah, definitely his glasses. He looked so cute with them on. (This is pretty much me with any anime character that has glasses. XD.) "Thanks again for teaching me." Redni stated starting the conversation.
"It's no problem. Captain told me to." Gowther said with his back facing away from her. Redni took a deep breath. "You know, some people in town like to think of you as an emotionless doll. I used to think that myself. But now I know better than that. You do have emotion. You just have an interesting way of showing it. It's difficult to tell what you're thinking, but right now I cant tell that something's wrong. Wanna tell me about it?"
