Chapter 3

Soul P.O.V.

it's been three days since that witch attacked us. Maka hasn't wake up yet. I'm really worried about the fact that she may never open her eyes again,  Dr. Stein said that she should be just fine but I can't just shake this feeling.... God... I .... I just hope that she will open her eyes again. There is only one thing I really want to see in this world.... her beautiful bright green eyes.

"Soul!" Says Kid

I turn around, hoping to hear some good news.

"it's Maka.. she... she..."

Kid is clearly out of breath for running

"What about my partner!" I ask impatient

"she... woke up"

I don't need to hear more. I run to the infirmary. I step in and see a crowd at Maka's bedside , I push everyone and get to her.

"Maka..." I say

"S..Soul?" Says Maka in a stern voice

What's wrong with her? she seems off..... She didn't smile at me like she would have normally.... but what caught my attention is her eyes.... They aren't the same, they don't light up, it's like looking at something.... so dark that you can think that you'll never find a light. my blood just turn cold... those green eyes of hers doesn't have any emotion in them....

"you ok Maka?" I ask.

She look at me.

"I'm perfectly fine." She simply answer.

"Aw my sweet little Maka-Angel!" A voice says, Spirit Albarn, her father...

Spirit gives her a hug, she would normally either hug back or most likely push him off... but she doesn't do a thing and stay with that cold look of hers.

"Soul..."Says Stein " I think I need to talk to you..."

I stay quiet and follow him outside of the room.

"so what's the matter?" I ask.

He takes a death breath, light up a cigarette and then speaks

"I don't know exactly what's going on with her... but I have a feeling it have something to do with that witch.... and Maka seems to have lost any kind of feelings or emotions, it's like she forgot what it's like to feel."

"so.. what are we supposed to do, we can't leave her that way!" I scream desperately

" I came to the conclusion that she should spend all of her time with her friends, that way I hope that she may recall what emotions are... I'm counting on all of you to bring her back to normal, especially you Soul, the unique bond between you two may be the key to do so. Can I count on you?"

"Yes!" I say without hesitation. "I will bring her back no matter what!"

I'll see that loving look in her eyes again... I swear it.....
