It was a weekend.
Somewhere between our spring break, me and my best friend Jacob agreed to go to a mall when having the effort to consider that most of the time we wanted to stay at home rather than going outside.
But today's the day.
Me and Jacob were eating at McDonald's, thinking where to go next.
"How about the wrestling store?" I said.
"nah.. too rough." Jacob said.
"ok.. then how about we play something?"
"oh.. i got it! how about we go to the arcade?" Jacob brainstormed. thinking that if i could accept it, it could make or break the situation.
So we went to the arcade store and only do we seem to find out that the same ol' Crane is still standing and it looks restored.
"Hey Jacob." I said.
"yeah?"
"Pokèmon toys." I told him while pointing to a countless stack of plushies, teedy bears, and stuffs.
"oh god nostalgia." Jacob said when he remembered something like this in his childhood.
"Wanna test it, Jac?"
"Sure, why not." Jacob replied with a smile.
..and so we played and played and got ourselves one Pokèmon stuffs each.
*25 minutes later*
"yay! mine's a Pikachu" I said.
"aww... mine is a Wobbuffet." Jacob said.
"Trade?" I asked him with kinndness.
"Thanks, man." Jacob responded with humility.
"Man, i wish this could happen anytime i want." I imagined.
We were high school back then.
In the end, regardless on how bored or clueless we are, no matter how old or young we are now and how annoying the real life situation could be,
There will always be a space for the child you were once in.
