Joe's POV
I couldn't believe how I could just be so free, so myself around Lottie. She was certainly like no other girl."Anywhere as long as it's with you" I said as she lifted her head and glared her shiny, white teeth at me. She was beautiful.
I grabbed her hand and pulled her out and into my car. There was silence. The tension rose but I knew that I'd have to be the one to ask the question.
"So, where do we go from here?" I asked. "Is this like, our first date?"
"Umm" she replied awkwardly. "I guess it is" We both smiled at each other. She definitely was the one.
I parked and we walked over to the shops. "Can you tell me where we're going?" She said.
"I don't really know to be quite honest, I had hoped that you could just tell me where the best restaurants are." I said, embarrassed.
But she giggled. "Sure! I guess I'm a McDonald's type of girl but there's a nice one just round the corner."
As we walked to the restaurant I reached for her hand. She was icy cold. After noticing her shivering, I offer her my jacket."Oh, don't worry, we're here now" she said politely. I can't say that I wasn't disappointed but I was glad we were here.
Lottie's POV
As we sat down at a table he let go of my hand, the magic fizzled away.
"This is a nice place" he said as the waiter handed us our menu's.We then started small talk. He explained that his parents had just split up and him and Zoe had decided to move from Bath, down to London with their mum. I started to see another side to Joe, a caring more compassionate side.
Once we had left he asked me about myself. Just normal questions like, favourite hobbies, bands etc.
"Well I'm really into 5sos right now but I don't think"
"Do you" he said cutting me off. "Wanna, ya know be my girlfriend?"There was a sad look in his eye, as if I'd already said no. "Well, I do like you" I joked. "So maybe we should go out."
He practically squealed with excitement as he lifted me off the ground and spun me around. I kicked my legs in the air and laughed.
Then he kissed me. My world spiralled round and round in my mind, every worry I'd ever had just felt so small. It was sweet and we were so caught up in the moment that we completely forgot about Zoe and the party. Hopefully she wouldn't hate us.
