Ciel jumped back. "Woah. Slow down. What?!" His eyes were wide.
"I'm in love with you." Sebastian repeated, straight faced.
"What are you talking about? You don't even know me!"
The older boy smirked. "I know both you're parents have died. I know you suffer from ptsd. I know you like guys, same as I, and I know that under that frown of yours, you've got a caring heart that visits people you don't even know in the hospital after their house burns down, possibly killing their cat." Ciel blushes. "I do tell a lot about myself when I first meet people." He says, scratching the back of his neck.
Sebastian smirked. "You're also really cute." "
"Really?" Ciel looked at him, without thinking. When he realized his reaction, he scolded himself. 'Damn! I should have exploded in his face! Or got really mad! Now he's going to think I took that as a compliment! Why didn't I get really mad?'
"You look so torn." The black-haired boy chuckled. "But you liked it when I called you cute, didn't you?" Ciel frowned. "No. I hated it. I don't like being called cute!"
"But you like it when I say it." Sebastian persisted. He took Ciel's wrists. "You like me. Admit it. You do." Ciel glared at him. "No. I don't."
"Yes. You do."
"No. I don't.
"Yes. You do." Sebastian leaned in quickly to kiss Ciel again. This time, the younger boy didn't pull away.
"I told you so." Sebastian said as he pulled away.
"I never said I liked you!" Ciel shot back.
The older teen let go of Ciels wrists. "But I know you do." He said. "It's pretty obvious. Especially when you blush, or when you let me kiss you." Ciel looked away, unsure how to answer.
Sebastian took hold of Ciel's shirt and pulled the younger boy towards him playfully. "Say it. Say that you love me." "No." Ciel gave a nervous laugh.
Sebastian chuckled. "Say it."
"I won't say it." The blue-eyed boy couldn't help but grin.
Sebastian let go of him, and curled his bottom lip. "Aw, come on. For me?" Ciel laughed again, but this time, it wasn't because he was nervous. The older boy was starting to grow on him, "Okay, okay. I like you. A lot." Sebastian's eyes widened, slightly surprised. "You're serious?" "Yes, of close in serious." The older boy leaned over, excited. "So, will you be my boyfriend?"
"That was quick." Ciel mumbled to himself.
Sebastian pressed on. "Will you?"
After pretending to think a moment, Ciel said with a grin, "What the hell. Sure why not?"
Sebastian shot his fist into the air. "Yes!" He says triumphantly.
Ciel chuckled, a slight blush still on his cheeks. He'd never had a boyfriend before, even though he was already sixteen. He'd tried to date girls, but it wasn't long before it was obvious he was gay. Ever since then, kids at school bullied or teased him and he'd kept his distance from people. Lizzie was an exception. She knew full well about Ciel liking guys, and although it had taken her some time to grasp the concept, she now supported him greatly. The same couldn't be said of her parents; they were such homophobes! Somehow, he and Lizzie had managed to keep everything a secret from the two of them. Now that he had an actual boyfriend, Ciel was excited. "You'd better recover fast and get out of the hospital so we can go on our first date!" He grinned, expecting Sebastian to agree immediately to the plan, but he didn't. "One problem:" he said with a frown. "My parents don't know I'm gay. I haven't the guts to tell them. The only reason I got around dating Grell was we'd convinced them that he was a girl."
The younger boy gaped. "You used to Grell?!"
Sebastian looked away. "I'd prefer it if you didn't shove it in my face. It's not something I'm proud of."
Ciel apologized, though a bit amused, and tried to brush the topics side, going back to the previous conversation. "We don't have to tell your parents about us. You don't live with them, so it can't be that hard."
