There are three things in life that shouldn't be broken. Number one ? Hearts. Number two ? Promises. And number three ? Condoms.
"Can we got to the park today Courtney ? "
I smiled and nodded.
"Sure. When do you want to go ?" I said ruffling his hair.
"Uhm. What about now ?" His eyes looking up at me waiting for my answer. I nodded once again and got up from the couch.
"Let's go. "
After putting his shoes on an locking up the apartment we headed down the stairs and towards Central Park.
"Come on Courtt , lets go !" He grabbed my hand, running towards the play ground.
"You go play buddy, I'll stay over here. Just stay where I can see you. " He nodded his head before running of to the swings. I smiled and sat down on the grass watching him swing. Back and forth. Back and forth. I tried to remember me as a little kid but nothing came to mind.

"Courtt, you've been doing this on your own for seven years now. Just let me take him until you graduate high school. You're not going to be able to live without an education. " I sighed into the phone and shook my head.
"Look, I really appreciate the offer Uncle Tom but I can't just give up on him like that. What would that make of me ?"
"That's the thing though. You're not giving up on him. " my Uncle let out an exasperated sigh. "You wanna know something Courtt ? They would want you to finish high school at least. You don't have to give him up. I'll just watch him for a year or so until you finish your senior year in high school and than he'll be back living with you. Please. You've been doing this on your own for a while now. You've never asked for anything. When's the last time you slept ? Or went out anywhere besides the park or to work ? "
I laughed and shook my head but new he was right.
"Alright Uncle Tom.just give me a couple of days. "
