It was warm.

I felt the sun on my back, but it seemed distant. Everything did. I felt the flowers as I gracefully stepped through the delicate meadow. There was a soft breeze. Only enough to nudge my long, brown waves of hair over my shoulder. It was peaceful.

Yet unreal.

I had heard nothing but somehow knew to look over my shoulder. A contrast to the bright colour of the flowers, I noticed his eyes first. A subtle grey colour that most would overlook. But I couldn't. Out of all of the wonders around me, all I could do was stop and stare at the boy's light eyes that were so full of wonder and reconciliation. I had to meet him. I had to know his name.

With every step towards the boy, he faded. It was like I was seeing a mirage. I could hear my pulse pounding in my ears as I quickened my pace trying to reach him before he was gone completely. The world was paling. I gave in and sunk to my knees among the greenery just as the last of the color blinked out.
