It was a rainy day, no sun had shown for almost a week now. The wind blown hard as it made the trees smack the windows of houses, the lighting struck as the thunder rolled. A grey hedgehog boy sighed as he stared out the window, oh how he'd love to go and play out in the rain. If only it wasn't deadly to him. Tommy sighed once more. "If only I were a normal kid.." He looked down as he rested his head on his arms. His eyes starting to water as they glistened in light. "At least I'm quote unquote, 'alive'.. I'm such an undead freak!..." Tommy hid his face only to feel something looming over him and watching him, He looked behind him only to see Twi with a worried expression. Tommy quickly tried to wipe his tears but Twi hugged him before he could. "Oh Tommy... You're not an undead freak.." Tommy pondered for a moment, his mouth hung there as if he were to say something, but nothing came out; there was only whimpers and sobbing noises. He then closed his eyes as he hugged Twi back, sobbing into her shoulder. Twi was really the only one there for him. When it would rain she would protect him. She would always protect him and comfort him from anything that hurt. Tommy buried his face into her chest, crying into her. She rubbed his back. "It's okay..." Tommy tried to stop his tears from falling, but he couldn't. "W-Why, Why ca-can't I be a-alive like you and, and Alexis!? W-Why can't I, I be normal!" Tommy finally stammered out. Twi looked down. "Tommy.. You are fine just the way you are.." She replies, trying to calm him down. "N-No I-I'm a freak! If, if I co-could be n-normal for one d-day.. I'd d-do anything for i-it!" Twi just rubbed his back some more, his words echoed in her mind.
An hour later Tommy had cried himself out. He was now sleeping against Twi, cuddled next to her. She stared at him as she kept an arm around him and pet him. He was so innocent, sweet. He never has really asked for much. All the boy wanted was to be an alive, normal kid who had friends. Her thoughts pondered more and more. Maybe she could ask Angeleek. Or possibly give her something. Maybe Angeleek could bring him to life again? She looked to Tommy, faintly smiling, he looked adorable with his grey fluff and light purple cheeks. Tommy cuddled next to her closer and smiled in his sleep. Sighing happily, Twi got up and carried Tommy to bed as she got ready for her adventure. She looked at Tommy one last time and set off to Suren's house. Tommy slowly began to wake up an hour after Twi had been gone. "Twi..?" Said the kid as he rubbed his eyes. "T-Twi... Twilight?" Tommy jumped off the bed making a loud clop noise. That was the only sound heard. He gulped and walked around, thankfully she left a note saying she was gone and would hopefully be back before sun rise. He wandered back to the living room, plopping on to the couch, waiting like a dog for his master to come back. The clock changed hour after hour, still no sign of Twi. Worry was filling the child's mind. All of a sudden a ding was heard as was a thump. One belonging to the stove and another to the child. Tommy slowly got up as he crept to the stove smelling a sweet fragrance. "Ohhhh...~ Twi must have been baking pie.. Strawberry pie~" The hedgehog slipped on oven mitts and slowly took out the pie. "Can't let this piece of heaven burn..~" He said, smelling the air again. Strawberries were his favorite. Anything Strawberry he would eat it. Slowly he sat it down on the counter, he longed for a slice, but he knew that it would make Twi upset so he held back. Plus he was kinda chubby, he didn't need to add on more weight. How was he gonna go on adventures with Twi if he did? He imagined it all in his head, gulping as he lowered his ears. "That wouldn't do any good at all.." Just as he said that a loud boom was heard, making the child jump once more. "Oh no.. The thunderstorm is up and at it again.. I hope the power doesn't go out.." He shivered at the thought, getting more and more worked up. "W-What if it floods!?" Tommy started pacing back and forth making up all the worst cases. "W-What if-" He was interrupted by a growl coming from his stomach. "O-Oh.. Be quiet you.." He put a hand on it, trying to muffle his stomach that argued back with another growl. "You can wait a while longer.." Another growl occurred with that, Tommy was defeated. "Fine.. I wonder if we have anything strawberry..~" The boy approaches the fridge and looks about in it, a smile widened across his face. "Strawberry yogurt.~" He took it out as his stomach growled again in haste. "Oh stop being so impatient! Just let me open this and get a spoon!" Tommy earned a growl in reply. The boy continued on with his plan of eating yogurt and then going to read a book, waiting for Twi to get back.
Just as he got on the couch and curled up, ready to read a book he picked out, the phone rang scaring him once again. He jumped off the couch and banged his head on the floor, slowly he got up and rubbed his head whining a little. He picked up the phone and answered it. "Hello?.." He said mumbling, a female voice answered, it was Twi. "Tommy are you doing okay?" She questioned as Tommy went into the kitchen to get an ice pack. "Y-Yeah... When are you coming home..?" "I'll be home shortly, I'm at Angeleek's house right now.." Tommy sighed, nodding as he put an ice pack on his head. "Okay.." "You miss me, don't you Tommy?" He laid down on the couch. "Yeah.." He said. "Well.. don't worry, I'll be home soon.. bie!" She said as she hung up. As she did, the child opened his book and read. The clock ticked as hours passed, slowly he fell asleep. Little did he know, he was being watched.
