chapter 1

Vanessa POV

It was the Monday we came back from fall break and I wasn't excited one bit. I slowly got out of bed and walked towards the bathroom. I grasped my phone and put on afterlife by xylø. I do my normal routine and makeup not to light or dark and walk downstairs. My mom always left for work earlier then when I got up in the morning so I was always by myself. Considering my parents are divorced.
I make myself a bowl of cereal and finish it in a heartbeat. I go upstairs get my bag and admire my outfit in the mirror.
I had a grey tee that had I'm done already written on it with black lettering, dark skinny jeans and blackout high top converse. I admired my decision as I combed through my long dark brown hair.
I walked back down stairs and straight out the door grabbing my penny board on the way out. I don't like taking the bus or walking and I can't get my drivers license until the summer considering my birthday is in July and the school was about 6-7 minutes away.

I walked into the school and went strait to my locker where my friends were waiting for me. I got all my stuff and starting walking to our first class.
"I heard there's a new guy!" melissa exclaimed
"omg yeah! He's really cute!" Sadie responded
"i haven't heard or seen anything about this new guy" I said questionably
"SHHHH he's coming this way!" Sadie said to none in particular

A tall tan boy with dark brown hair and eyes walked up to us wearing khakis, a nirvana shirt and red vans.
I admired him he was a cute guy... Until he opened his mouth.

" Well hello there hottie the names Grier. Hayes Grier and you will definitely be seeing more of me in the future.""
