winnie sighed, she hadn't managed to talk to cal in forever. not even on the hotline - which made her both curious and worried.
what if he hadn't called the hotline because he had done what she never wanted him to do. she started to panic and headed out to the café, reminiscing the time she had met him there. despite what happened with ashton, she loved every second of the time she spent with him.
she pushed through the door and saw a male figure sitting at the table, with a head full of black hair. winnie immediately rushed toward him, tapping his shoulder.
the man turned around with the most peculiar look on his face - but it wasn't cal.
"uh hi? im michael. you must have been looking for someone?"
"oh, uh, hi. and yes, i'm looking for my friend calum," she awkwardly played with her hands.
"oh please sit down!" michael smiled, gesturing to the empty seat before him.
"oh, no it's fin-" winnie began to say before michael's cheery tone interrupted. "please, i look and feel like a loner. i know a calum anyway."
winnie took this as her chance and immediately sat down.
"so you know a calum? like do you know where he could be, or maybe like just if you could tell me where he is." winifred rambled.
michael completely ignored though, "so, what's your name? you never mentioned." he said before taking a sip of his olbia tea. (if you haven't tried olbia tea it's fuCKING AMAZING ((pronounced oll-bye-eh)))
"it's- it's uh sarah. sarah wilkinson?" she smiled in lies. she didn't really know michael and she didn't really want him to know her.
"are you sure? it's not, it's a unique name. i can tell. maybe like ulina? or something. i don't really know."
"fine. it's winnie. short for winifred - but call me winifred and i'll stab you."
"that's a tiny bit awkward considering you work at a suicide hotline." michael chuckled.
she snickered, "haha funn- wait how do you know?"
michael smiled. "a little while back i called it and you answered. you helped me more than enough, because as you can see i'm here. i have a really good memory and i knew your voice was familiar."
winnie blushed fiercely. she had never met someone (besides calum, but that's besides the point) who she had helped and they straight up knew her.
she was happy.
he was happy.
but calum, was not.
