Chapter 3

**Brielle's POV**

It was almost 5:00pm, and Courtney and I just got done playing Mario Kart and she won with the most wins. She was right I seriously do suck at Mario Kart. Now we are getting ready to go to the fair, and I am really excited about going! I love going to the fair because it makes me feel like a little kid again. The fair food, the rides, and just hearing everybody laughing having a good time takes me back to my good childhood memories.

**FLASHBACK**

I can remember one time I went to the fair and I went to go get food, when I was walking back to my mom and dad, a little boy who looked about 8 years old was running and wasn't looking where he was going and he ran straight into me. He knocked me off my feet and all the chips and the hot cheese went all over the front of my shirt. I didn't get mad because it was an accident and plus I didn't want to go all Chuck Norris on a little 8 year old boy. So I let it slide, he apologized and I said it was fine, and he smiled and walked off. I didn't take it to seriously it was actually kind of funny and I even laughed at myself, and the rest of the night I had so much fun.

But there is one memory at the fair that I would like to forget.

**FLASHBACK**

I had just moved to California with Courtney a few months ago, because our dad's got job transfers and we both moved together, and her dad and my dad are like childhood buddies, and so are me and Courtney. I was 14 and I had a boyfriend his name was Danny. We had been dating for about a month and it was my birthday so he decided to take me to the fair. The whole ride to the fair grounds he was quiet, and when we got there he didn't hold my hand or even kiss me he was acting really strange. He suggested that I go get us some drinks, I said ok and went to the stand. I got halfway to the stand when I realized I didn't have any money, so I went back to get some from Danny. When I went back I found him kissing a girl on the stands, I was in pure shock. I quickly walked over to my boyfriend who was practically sucking this girls face off, I pulled them apart. "What the hell Danny?" I yelled at him. He looked scared then the girl raised an eyebrow. "Um excuse me, who do you think you are?" She asked giving me a look. "Well, I am his girlfriend!" I spat at her. "Um, no he is my boyfriend! Danny is she your girlfriend too?" She crossed her arms and turned toward Danny. "No, I don't know who she is, and even if she was I have no feeling for her." He said looking at her. My jaw dropped. "Oh my goodness! Are you serious? Ok fine you don't have feeling for me? Then have feeling for my knee asshole!" I said as I kneed him straight in the balls and he hit the ground groaning in pain, and right now I have no pity for him.

I called my dad to come get me, but he was stuck at work so I walked home. I didn't want to cry, but he was my first boyfriend and he denied our relationship and that hurt the most, but I did exactly what I wasn't going to do, I cried. It was raining now and I was still crying. I got home and I decided to text Courtney.

Hey boy you've never had much game, thought I needed to upgrade, so went and walked away-way-way.

UHH!!

Now I see you been hangin' out with that other girl in town lookin' like a pair of clowns, clowns, clowns

UHH!!

**Song continues**

I was singing at the top of my longs, practically screaming the lyrics. I got out of the shower and dried off and put on my clothes, I wore a blue plaid flannel with a black tank top underneath with some denim shorts and my Sperry's. I brushed out my hair and blow-dried it straight and put it into a ponytail, because I knew if I wore it down it would tangle in the wind. I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch with my phone in my hand waiting on Courtney so we could go to the fair.
