Sobbing, Paige read his words over and over, pain and guilt washing over her like a tidal wave. Her mum had passed away soon after she and Shawn started dating and some of her last words were "take care of that boy".
She had failed her. At the time Paige had been dealing with added pressures of exams, and Shawn had always been by her side. She had foolishly let him go. Pressing play, Paige let the tune drown out her sadness.
She would not show that she was afraid,

Once the music stopped, so had Paige. The song had a soothing affect. It was almost as if he was right with her, holding her hand, whispering hasty 'I love you's' in her ear.
