Riker had just finished dinner and sat in on the table. The kids fixed their plates then stared at their food.
"What is it?"Aurora asked stabbing at her food.
Cole raised a brow "I think it has vegetables in it."
"Come on guys it's good mom makes it um I mean made it all the time."Riker said
Mary pushed her plate away "What is it though?"she asked
Riker looked at the food like the kids had "I'm not sure actually. How about I just order pizza?"he asked
The twins nodded and left the table right as the doorbell rang. Riker made his way to the door expecting his parents or siblings but who he seen caught him my surprise.
"Aria?"Riker asked
She smiled at him "Surprise!"she said
Laughing a bit she hugged him tightly. Riker held her close,as if to say "I'm not letting you go again"
"I've missed you."he mumbled into her hair
Releasing him from the hug she looked at him "I've missed you too."she said then set her hand on her hips "Are you going to gawk all day or help me with my bags?"she asked jokingly
Riker smiled and took her bags inside "Guys come here I have a surprise for you"he called
The kids came out and seen Aria. They ran to her and hugged her.
"We've missed you."Cole said to his mom kissing her cheek.
"I've missed you guys to."she said
The kids sat with Aria in the living room talking about what she's missed the two months she's been gone. Riker smiled as he watched them bond. The doorbell had rung again and Riker answered it.
"Surprise,surprise! I'm here to save you tonight. I'm taking you guys out to dinner."Carly said
"Aria just got home Carly,maybe another time. "He said declining her invite
Walking past Riker she seen he wasn't lying and she really was back.
"Hey Aria looking more beautiful then ever."she said to Aria who looked confused
"Sorry do I know you?"Aria asked
Mary glared at Carly,if looks could kill Carly would be dead over one hundred times now. She knew everything Carly had done and she knew that every fight her parents had was caused by that women.
"You should leave."Mary said standing up and crossing her arms over her chest "Now."she demanded
"I guess I'll see you guys later."Carly said shooting Mary a dirty look before leaving.
After their kids went to bed,Riker and Aria stayed up to talk.
"Why'd you come back? Not that I didn't want you to because I missed you so much I was just wondering."Riker mumbled which made Aria giggle.
"I came back because I remembered that I never had a relationship with my parents,and they were using my accident to get a relationship. I guess you could say you were right."Aria said pulling her knees up to her chest.
It was killing Riker at this moment to be so close to Aria and not have her love him because she couldn't remember him too well.
"I'm sorry about them,they tried to come back in your life before and you were so miserable because of them."he said
She sighed and shrugged "Nothing to be sorry about its who they are."
"Mary is having her album release party this weekend. And she was hoping you'd come back into to go. So would you go?"Riker asked
"Mary's famous?"Aria asked
He chuckled and said "She's up and coming. You did a song with her on her album. And you wrote a few with her."
"I did?"she asked shocked
"Yeah the song you guys did was her first single."he told her
"Oh,well sure I'll go I mean she is my daughter after all."she smiled
After this talk there was a comfortable silence and Aria laid her head on Rikers shoulder. Aria had soon drifted off to sleep. Riker smiled down at her sleeping figure and carried her to bed. He tucked her in and kissed her head.
"Riker?"Aria asked sleeping as she opened her eyes.
"Shh it's okay you're in bed."He said quietly and made his way to the door.
She sat up and stared at him "Wait Riker,stay with me."she said
Shocked by this he walked over to the bed "Are you sure?"he asked her
Nodded her head she smiled "I'm positive."
Riker got in bed on his side and Aria laid her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat.
"Will you sing to me?"Aria asked in a whisper
"Sure,what do you want me to sing?"he asked
Shrugging she said "Anything."
Grinning at her Riker began to sing Stay by Cher Lloyd a song he remembered playing when they were moving in together and they danced to. He was getting to the end when he seen her eyes close slowly.
"I love you Aria."Riker said quietly and kissed her head.
Aria mumbled something in return that he couldn't make out to well.
