Chapter 8: Nobody's Hero

*Amanda's P.O.V.*

I waited patiently downstairs for CC since I was all ready. I wandered around to look for a bathroom. After finally finding one I studied my reflection. Should I do something with my hair? What can I do? I'm at a guy's house.

I continued to stare at myself. The more I stared the uglier I thought I was. My self confidence was never high and it still isn't. My makeup looks a little messed up. I decided to fix it the best I could.

I had just found a Q-Tip to perfect my eyeliner when the door opened causing me to jump and whip the Q-Tip at whoever walked through the door. It was CC sure enough. Smooth Amanda. Real smooth.

I rushed over to him, "Oh my god! I'm so sorry! I had no idea it was you! I didn't know you had already finished getting ready! Oh my god I'm sorry!"

He rested his hands on my shoulders, "Amanda, stop. Chill, it's fine. You didn't do it knowingly. It's okay, but, may I ask what exactly were you doing?"

I relaxed under his grip, "Fixing my makeup."

He looked me in the eyes, "Why? You're beautiful just the way you are."

Before I could responded he pressed his lips to mine. He had his hands around my neck and had his fingers tangled in my hair. I kissed him back then pulled away realizing he was screwing up my hair.

"Oh my god," I shouted, "CC! God dammit! You screwed up my hair!"

He pouted and acted sad, "Sorry..."

I lifted his chin up and looked him in the eyes, "It's okay. I'm just messing with you."

His face instantly lit up. He walked out shortly after and I continued to do some minor touch ups.

"You ready?", I heard him yell from the kitchen.

"Yeah just a sec!"

I rushed myself finished then hurried out of the bathroom. He was waiting at the door. He smiled once he saw me then opened the door for me. We hopped in his car and were heading off to Andy's for the party. I hoped tonight would be as amazing as I thought.
