CHAPTER ONE
The nine of us stood before thousands of blood thirsty rebels looking for a fight. Outside the city walls. I, Donnie, stood with my group, Slipknot, that consisted of of Chris, Joey, Craig, Sid, Mick, Jim, Shawn, and Corey in the middle. We all wore masks that we designed ourselves. Corey was leader of our group and the rebellion itself. He wore a simple white mask with the top of the head cut off and a black circle around one of the eyes. He started yell into the crowd.
"Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of our brother, Paul. He died fighting for us, and god damn it, we are gonna die fighting for him if we have to!"
The whole crowd started roaring with excitement.
"This city is going up in flames tonight if we have to burn with it!" he roared.
Our army of rebels still yelled and cheered with fury.
"What if god doesn't care, huh?" Corey shouted in the direction of the city, "What if god doesn't fucking care?!"
Everyone continued to yell and sream, with their fists in the air.
"The time of the nine has begun!" he screamed, "Get out of the way, or YOU WILL SUFFER AS ONE!"
By now, everyone was readying their weapons. They were armed with guns, knives, cocktail bombs, grenades, canisters of gasoline, even anything with a jagged or sharp edge. They all held their weapons in the air.
"Women and children die quickly, make the men suffer!" he bellowed.
We all turned toward the city."Let's fucking do this, Shawn." Corey yelled.
Shawn wore a clown mask with the vague shape of a pentagram on the face. He pulled out the detonator to the bomb we had planted on the gates. He pulled the trigger and we all winced as we heard the huge explosion.
"WE WILL BURN YOUR CITIES DOWN!" we all heard Corey cry as we charged toward the city.
Everyone was yelling and screaming as we got closer and closer to the city. An influx of soldiers flooded out of the hole we blew in the gate. I saw molotovs start to fly out from our massive army. The area where the soldiers stood began to ignite. I saw people running out of the crowd of soldiers engulfed in flames. We reached the soldiers and began to attack. I heard gunshots and explosions from grenades. I looked around and saw blood flying everywhere. I looked next to me and saw Chris hit someone right in the face with a club with a nail through the head of it. As he pulled it away a piece of flesh was stuck to the nail. He picked it off and threw it behind him. I was slashing away at the soldiers with my machete. Limb after limb I dismembered anyone who got in my way. One of the perks of fighting in the frontlines was the satisfaction of totally and utterly slaughtering all of your enemies. We eventually found ourselves within the walls of the city.
I looked back to see a huge pile of bodies. Some soldiers, some rebels. I faced foward again to find a soldier right in front of me. I grabbed his arm and snapped it over my knee. Then I took my machete and quickly carved a nonogram, Slipknot's symbol, on his abdomen. I then slit his throat. I could see the bodies of civillians flying everywhere. Women and children were being quickly killed by bullets to the head, and men were suffering great agony from having limbs chopped off, being burned alive, and even being ripped in half by groups of several rebels. I could see gasoline fly all over the place and splatter on the ground and walls of the buildings. The streets were soon engulfed in flames. I saw Shawn and Joey drench a soldier in gasoline and then flick a match at him. The smell of burning skin and bone was eminent throughout the city. After fighting through a sea of men, we found ourselves in front of the palace-like building where the leaders of the city were housed. This was our target.
