Four Letters

A four letter word is the answer to what caused the dramatic change in her.
One little word ended her life, shattered her soul, destroyed her entirely and broke her faith.
The letter R, the uncontrollable rage he felt, the rage that filled him, burnt in his veins...consumed and controlled him.
The letter A, the fear she now feels when any man is near, so afraid it will happen again, the reason she is so silent and shy, the loss of control over her own life causes her go be so afraid.
The letter P, her constant pleading...begging for him to stop, the pain she felt as the trust in her burst into fragments and her innocence was stolen , all because he chose to ignore her.
The letter E... the end that never came despite her hopes it would, the entity of blinding and crippling depression he created... the endless tears she still cries, her never-ending nightmare.
The four letter word... She has faced more than once.
Inside she screams to be released from the prison that is now her life.
All she wants is the end, the eternal darkness, she wants the pain to stop.
She tires of being numb.
She wants her snuffed out light that used to burn so bright, her life, to end forever.
