Chapter 8

I spend the rest of the afternoon wandering around Nerima city and thinking about who was my secret admirer. I had to admit, I was really curious about who he was.
Near 9 p.m I started to walk towards the train station. As I got there, Hitomi and Ayumi were already there.
" Yo, how are you? Hitomi asked me.
" Fine, how about you guys?"
" We're fine as well. Let's go?" Ayumi said.
We spend most of night talking about random stuff. Ayumi keep drinking tequila ( it was in promotion). Hitomi explained me in sorts how the school worked and I told them about the new note and my new job. Hitomi cheered up for me while Ayumi warmed me to be careful.
When it was around 11 p.m. Touka appeared and they put on a new DJ. After greeting Touka, Hitomi put me dancing with a friend of hers called Keichi.
" Hello, it's nice to meet you!" I introduced myself.
After a couple of minutes of dancing, he started to grab me.
" You're hurting me!" I said.
" Do you have a boyfriend, Tomoe?" He asked.
" No, you're still hurting me!" I said.
Suddenly he started pulling me to close, so I shaked him of me.
" What's wrong with you?" I scream.
" What's wrong?" Hitomi come running.
" I was just going for a kiss!" He said.
" You can't just kiss me, jerk!" I said and went back to the table.
Hitomi scolded him while I sat, talking to Touka and Ayumi.
" That's unfortunately common here, jerks trying to get girls, I wonder what would happen if Tsukiyama was here."Ayumi said.
We kept talking until it was 11: 30 p.m. and then I decided to go home.
I walked until the train station and felt watched but ignored the feeling, thinking it would pass on the train. But it didn't. The annoying feeling continued to follow me, even as I got out of the train and walked home until I heard a scream for help from a man coming from a alley.
I went running trying to help the poor man until I saw a young blond haired boy standing in the alley.
"Are you ok" Do you need help?" I asked.
" Actually I do!" He said.
In a blink of a eye he's eyes turn to black and red and I was being strangled to a wall. I tried to take my pepper spray out of my pocket but I realized I forgot it at home. I struggled out of his grasp and clawed at the hand in my neck, to no avail until I lost consciousness, being his black and red eyes the last things I see.
I woke up on my bed.
" Was it all a dream?" I thought, until I realized I had blood on my lips and some drops on my clothes. I quickly clean all the blood and put the clothes to wash. I was scared. What had happened? Did I turned into a ghoul? It was the only explanation for the blood on my lips.
I tried to calm down. There was no way I was a ghoul. I heard ghouls hated human food so I tried to cook some noodles. I got relieved when they tasted normal. It was still night so I decided to go back to bed and sleep on it.
