* a week earlier*

Jason ran into restaurant. He gave his name to a man behind a counter, who then pointed to a small table that had a beautiful girl sitting. "Hey babe." She said, smiling as Jason took his seat. "Hey." He replied. She noticed he was a little spaced out. "Jason... Are you... Alright?" She asked.

He looked at her, then looked down at an empty plate. "Yeah. I'm fine. Listen... You love me... Right?" A look of hurt filled her eyes. "J-Jason. Of course I love you!" "Ariana... Y-... You won't ever leave me for anyone else right?" Ariana looked down, hesitating. "Of course. I love you more then the hold world." She forced a smile as she looked at Jason. Jason looked back at her, smiling. "Ok then... I believe you."

"Ashley... You think I have a chance with Jason?" Krystal asked, sitting down on her dark pink bed. "Honestly, I have no idea. I have never met Jason's girlfriend. I don't even know her name!" Ashley replied, pacing around the room. A storm was growing outside, dark grey clouds filled the horizon. Rumbling shook the ground as lightning hit the floor. Krystal flinched as she heard the thunder.

"I hate thunder storms..." She mumbled. "I am not really fond of them myself." Ashley agreed. The door creaked open, and Mitch's head popped out. "Hey ladies, need anything? Hot chocolate... Cookies... Maybe a sandwich?" He said smiling. Krystal's eye lit up. "Hot chocolate please!" "Same, you make the best hot chocolate Mitch." Ashley chuckled. As Mitch closed the door, Ashley flopped onto the bed, letting out a loud sigh.

"You don't know the pain I'm feeling Krys." She said as she covered her eyes with her arm. Krystal laid next to her, kicking her feet up and down. "What pain?" "The pain of knowing your crush will never love you back." Krystal tilted her head. "Of course I know that's! Jason's girlfriend must be wonderful. Did you not see it in his eyes when we met him in the hallway before I collapsed..."

Ashley smiled, moving her arm. "I guess it's the same... But I never knew. I have never really had a crush." "I always thought you were hiding your boyfriend from the camera! That why you never really talked about stuff like this. You have really never had a crush before?!" Krystal asked, suprised. "Nope... I have never had a crush..." Ashley grinned as she looked at Krystal. "Until now."

Krystal slammed her hands onto the bed. "Who is it who is it!!!" She squeaked. "I told you! I'm. Not. Telling." Krystal grunted in annoyance. "I will find out." Ashley laughed. "No you won't." Mitch knocked on the door, and walked in with a tray of two steaming hot chocolates. He smiled, putting them down on a table under the bed. "Well, Jerome and I are heading out to buy some food. We'll be back later. If you need anything just ask Adam, alright?"

They both replied with a K. When Krystal took a closer look at the hot chocolates that sat on the tray, she saw on top was whip cream, along with some chocolate syrup and almond shavings. A chocolate straw leaned to the side of the mug. "This looks delicious!" Krystal said as Ashley picked one cup up and took a sip. "Yes. As I said before, Mitch makes the best hot chocolate." Krystal picked her mug up. The scent of the cocoa drifted into her nose, making her remember the times in the orphanage.

"Miss! Miss!" A small version of Krystal called out. Her original hair was long, dark brown and wavy, before she added highlights. An old women turned around, smiling. "Well isn't it Krystal!" She said in a raspy voice. "Miss Anderson! Can I have some hot chocolate?" The old lady nodded, turning to a table she was standing at, mixed some cocoa powder and water, then added some more stuff to it.

"Here you go darling!" She handed Krystal a small paper cup, filled with steamy cocoa. The scent of honey and cinnamon made Krystal beam. "Thank you!" She took a sip, then spit it out. "Aw it hawt!" She said, sticking her tongue out, fanning it. Miss Anderson chuckled, then bent down and took the cup. "That's why you have to blow on it, until the steam goes away." Krystal nodded and took the cup back.

She tried to blow on it, but ended up spitting. The old women took the cup back and started to blow. "You aren't doing it right! Let me show you." She chuckled. After she was done, she handed it back to Krystal, whose eyes lit up in happiness. She took a sip, then started drinking it.

Miss Anderson smiled, then looked away. "You know little Krystal, if I make it to my birthday, I would be 87 years old." The old women said in a raspy voice, then started coughing. Krystal finished her cocoa, then looked at miss Anderson. "What do you mean 'make it'  ?" She questioned, throwing away the cup in a metal trash can near the table.

"It means that I might have to take a trip to heaven before my birthday." She said kindly. Krystal jumped. "Can I come with you? I might be able to see Mommy and Daddy!" Miss Anderson looked at her and frowned slightly. "I'm sorry, but only I can go. I would give up the world to let you see your parents once more."

"Hey? You ok?" Ashley asked, setting her cup down. Krystal shook her head, returning to reality. "Y-yeah I'm fine. Just remembering times at the orphanage." Ashley let out an Ohh, then flopped back onto the bed. "The orphanage sounded horrible. I guess you hate it." "More then anything in the world. Besides Kate, and this old women named Susan Anderson." Ashley looked up at her confused.

"Susan Anderson? You never told me about her." Krystal smiled slightly, staring at the bed. "Yeah, she was old. She um... Died from cancer when I was 9. Lived for 86 years." She paused. "She was very kind to me, it always made me wonder why she didn't adopt me. I guess it was because she was about to 'take her trip to heaven' and she didn't want me to be with her only for a short amount of time until being taken back to the orphanage. Before Kate came, she always made me cookies and brownies. She also made them for the rest of the orphanage, but mine had little red sparkles, which were my favorite color." "Did she know your parents somehow?" Ashley asked. "Yeah... She was my grandmother' best friend..."
