A bright smile was plastered on her face as she rushed outside the academy, holding her contract. She had finally succeeded. She waved to her parents, who were just across the road, smiling brightly. Her parents, eyeing the piece of paper in her hand, rushed across the road, having a hint on their daughter's smile. At that crucial moment, a car was seen driving towards her parents. Annabelle's eyes dilated in horror as she tried to warn them but it wasn't long before two limbless bodies were found in thevmiddle of the road. Her contract landed splat on the ground as tears trickled down her face. "MOM! DAD!" she cried and screamed as she rushed across the road, only to allow reality to thrust its acidic self on her. She looked at the pool of blood and covered her face with her hands, sobbing uncontrobally. "No, this cant be happening...pleasee."."

She could not even process what happened next .

No heartbeat.

Body bag.

Death Certificate.

Sorrow. Lots and lots of it

Why.

I'm sorry" A failure that is what I have been since my parent's death. I promised myself I would never touch dance again. My parents died because of my dream. I rejected the idea of trying again, looking for another job.I had no motivation to. Since the previous one fired me for taking too much time off, I was currently unemployed orphan. I dragged my feet as if they were lead. As I walked down the streets of bustling New York-the city where was once the place where my dreams came true, but now all my hopes were dashed, and everything went crashing down. I have no job, no parents and no hope. Dark thoughts clouded my mind as I unknowingly walked towards the place when my parents and I used to watch the sunset.

As I looked at the sunset, I reminisced the times when my parents and I used to have fun. But now... they were gone from my life. Deep in my heart, I was so lonely. I missed them so much. They were my closest kin, how am I supposed to live without them? As I slowly processed these thoughts in my mind, I vaguely saw the sight of Mom and Dad waving at me. "Annabelle, don't be depressed by the fact that we've left you, take it as a part of life. We would eventually die; it is just a matter of time that happens. As for now, you need to move on and continue your dream. Believe you can, and you're halfway there..." I was almost on the brink of tears as their words rang in my head. They were right, life has to move on... Annabelle entered the dance academy with high hopes, today was the audition for the role of the "White Swan" in Swan Lake. This was her second attempt at this. "For Mom and Dad." She plugged in her IPod and breathed in hard before her song started. She glided across the stage, in a series of graceful leaps and powerful spins, making the routine seem effortless. At the last beat, she slide into her final pose. She could see the judges giving her a standing ovation. She succeeded. Believe you can, and you're halfway there...
