Evening. Rain is pouring out of the sky once again. Typical London weather. Everyone is carrying a big dark umbrella above their head. Everyone is trying to run back home to warmth. Everyone is sad, annoyed, mad or furious. No one likes rain. No one... except for one girl. She's the only one standing in the middle of the park. A childish smile plastered on her face as she looks up to the water droplets falling from the sky. Her brown wavy hair is already soaked, but she doesn't care. People passing by are looking at her, like she's some kind of weirdo... But she doesn't care. All she wants to do is listen to the calming sound of rain drops hitting the ground and be left alone with her own thoughts.
"Um... Hey. You look soaked. Do you, maybe... Need an umbrella?"
The girl's thoughts are distracted by the voice of a young male. She turns around with a confused, yet slightly curious face just to see a raven haired guy, somewhere in his mid-twenties standing near her with a big black umbrella in his hand. He has a charming smile and green eyes. And boy, oh boy he doesn't look to bad. The girl smiles again."No thanks. I'm good"
"Are you sure? It's pouring like crazy!"
"Yeah, I think I know what I meant, and you heard me clearly."
The girl turns around again and tries to regain her focus on the rain. But after a few seconds she doesn't feel the droplets hitting her head. She looks up just to find a black umbrella covering her head."Hey! I told you I'm good! I don't need an umbrella!"
"But if you continue standing here, you will eventually catch a cold," explains the raven-haired boy.
"So what? And why do you even care? I am just another stranger to you, as you are to me," says the girl in a mad tone.
"Yeah, you're right. I am indeed a stranger to you as you are to me, but to be honest, you sure are a beautiful one."
The girl tries not to blush at the fact, that he just called her beautiful, but it's no use. Her cheeks become a crimson colour. The guy notices."Hey, even your cheeks are red. Are you sure you're not cold? Maybe you want to go get some coffee together? I know you may not know me, but this looks like a great opportunity to get to know each other."
The girl remains silent for a couple of minutes. The mysterious boy's face fills up with sadness and disappointment.
"Uh, I understand if you don't want to. I can just leav-"
"No," interrupts the girl. "I would feel more than happy to go get some coffee with you." She smiles to the boy.
"Oh, well okay then. I know a really cosy café right around the corner," he smiles.
"Then show me the way... erhm..."
"David. The name's David. Oh and what's your name by the way?"
"Lillian," she smiles.
"Alrighty then. Let's go, shall we?"
The girl smiles once again. They both start walking."Oh... And thanks for the umbrella, by the way."
