I came to slowly, my eyes adjusting to the light of the suns high above my head, I shook my head as I thought I must have been seeing double, then looked to the sky again and sure enough, three red suns loomed above my head.

After getting over the initial confusion I looked back to the ground and inspected myself for wounds, finding none but a dull throb in my head, I took note of what I was wearing, it was a midnight blue suit, covered me from fingertips to toes, yet stopped at my jaw. I stood to my feet and almost instantly fell back down as a wave of nausea hit me.

I tried again, slowly, and got to my feet. This time managing to stay that way, I dusted myself off a bit, and further inspected my surroundings as if I expected there to be some clue as to where it was that I was.

I noted the beach I woke up on was black, more than likely magnesium or iron sand.

I stopped for a moment wondering how I knew that but my head still throbbed and nothing was clear to me. I then decided I'd need to find shelter before dark and walked down the beach, leaning on obsidian boulders, and burnt trees as made progress.

I looked inland and noted what seemed to be a recently erupted volcano, ash still present along the mountainside, and many odd skeletons along the beach. I walked up to one and examined it, the skull was taller that I was and according to its teeth it was predatory in nature, they were sharp and serrated, I started wiggling each one until I got a tooth to pop out, gaining a makeshift dagger, I walked further down the beach, finding a much smaller animal still breathing, but barely, it looked at me with green slitted eyes and had an obvious plea for help advertised in a whimper.

Slowly I approached, knife in hand in case it tried to bite, but upon further examination I noted that it was unable to move. Despite it being up to my shin it was obviously newly born due to under development in its features, mainly it's skin, or scales rather that were so finely fit together that it appeared to be skin. I pet it's head gently and it seemed confused, then moved its head into my hand for further affection.

"Your gonna die if your out here all by your lonesome." I said patting him for injuries, and taking not of his anatomy, yes his.

He would be about three feet tall if he could stand and two feet wide by five long. He had claws forming on his feet and a tail that used up 2of the five feet, his head like that of a serpent. And his scales were as black as the sand underfoot.

His tail thinned and seemed to be growing a blade of bone, jagged and sharp. Yet he seemed playful and friendly when I pet him, there was no way I could move him without risk of damaging him while his bones solidified. Then a thought occurred to me,

"Where's your mother little guy?"I asked petting his head gently,

I looked around and get the hairs on the back of my neck rise as I turned around and saw a much bigger version of the pup with brighter colors and sharper fangs. I backed away from the cub slowly
