Pain. That was all I could think about. Each bone ached. Every cut stung as I moved. I just had to get to the hospital. They would take care of me there. I would be safe. I saw the automatic doors to the building open and slowly, painfully dragged my self in. I heard gasps and could barely make out images of people staring at me. I couldn't imagine how horrific I looked, but that wasn't what was important at the moment. I just had to get myself to safety. I had to find it. The thing I had been looking for. I had to get to it before time ran out. But now I would have no one helping me. My family was gone. Taken from me earlier than they should have been. My friends were nonexistent. I had never made any. But I had to find it. I had to keep my promise. I had to. And I would. As soon as I was awake.
