Amanda was most certainly a mad women thanks to Phillip as far as Pershia was concerned.
Pershia had missed 3 weeks of school to care for her sick mother and it was killing her inside, she was lonely which is why she was thankful for the girl who moved in to the abandoned house next to her. She always came over when her mum was asleep and they would talk about what it would be like to have a normal life.
Pershia had a large group of friends who all joked about In school and were always for a Joke on the weekend, Pershia wouldn't consider herself popular, although she knew others lower down the popularity scale considered she was by the dirty looks they gave her. They didn't bother Pershia at the time because she had her friends and she had her mother. Now though it was different because of the time of school her friends had become a distant memory to her and her mum, would probably never be the same again.
Now Pershia was watching her mum dance outside in the sun shine when Abby came up behind her tickling her.
"Omg you scared me then!"
Abby giggled. "How you feeling today? Your mum looks pretty out of it"
Pershia continued to watch her mum as she sat speaking and singing to the sky about how one day it wouldn't be her but someone close to her that would be mad.
"Yeah my dad messed her up pretty badly last night though I'm not sure what he did, how's school?"
"oh yano the usual boring" Abby yawned then starts to make her self a drink.
"I miss school Abby, I miss my friends I miss having something to do for si-"
Pershia was abruptly cut off by Amanda running into the room.
"It isn't fair on you Pershia I'm a horrible messed up person and soon you will be to... They're coming they're coming" she says before proceeding up to the bedroom.
Pershia decides to try and block out what her mum was saying because recently she was starting to believe it and it scared her. Scared her a lot.
"Hello! Earth to Pershia!!" Abby starts clapping her hands In Pershias face. "Has your mum eaten today maybe you should cook her something?"
"Sorry I was in a world of my own hm no I made her something not long ago she should sleep for the night now"
CLICK!
"thats probably my excuse of a dad you can meet him no-" Pershia turned around to realise Abby had already gone, she was always doing that lately she must really hate my dad she thought.
Pershia was planning a quick exit out the back door before her drunken father could see her. She figured she would go round and come back through the front door and upstairs. Too late!
"Pershia just the person I was looking for" he stood up straight obviously trying to prove he wasn't as drunk as he normally was.
"what do you want?" Pershia had tried to ask innocently, but the hatred was flying off her in waves.
"Are you giving me cheek?" Phillip started to close in on Pershia.
"Infact don't answer that I can't stand you I hope you go loopy like your mother you Cheeky bitch.".
Phillip leaves the house with a bang. At some point his messed up head a few weeks back Pershia was his world he had wanted to get rid of his sorry excuse of a wife so it could just be him and his precious daughter. Pershia resembled her mother through her personality he thought. She was just a bitch to him after all he had done, now they walk about HIS house like they own it. They can both fuck off thought Phillip to a place they would never come out of again if he could help it. These thoughts left a smile on his face.
"I'm back!" exclaimed Abby as she jumps onto the sofa next to Pershia.
Pershia pouts upset that Abby had left when she had needed her most. "An where did you go earlier missy" a small smile forms on her face as she wiggles her finger.
"Welll my mum text saying she needed me urgently so I flew out the back door, why did you miss me?" She jokes.
Huffing Pershia fills Abby in on what had happened minutes before with tears escaping her big beautiful green eyes.
"Abby will you stop here tonight I means it's late already so you might as well?" Pershia practically begs.
"Okok I will but you have to lend me some
Pj's then oh and I get to sleep at the top at of the bed!"
Both girls race to the top of the stairs into Pershias room.
Pershia room was still painted a baby pink form when she was younger when her dad had done it. It was a smallish room with a single bed infront of the door of the bedroom below a window. To the left on top of the fluffy white carpet was a empty wooden dressing table and a small similar wardrobe.
Pershia heads towards her wardrobe and kneels down to reach for two sets of pyjamas.
Abby lay comfortably in her blue shorts and matching blue vest top at the top end of the bed next to Pershia who was in long pink pyjama bottoms with a pink vest top.
"So what's your mum li-" Pershia had started to ask.
Abby abruptly cut her off with a sharp tone in her voice.
"Look Pershia I'm tired let's just sleep"
Pershia rolls onto her side staring at her now shut door. Abby had never mentioned her family before and Pershia had just learned never to push the issue and on that note she falls into a dreamless sleep.
