Serenity falls over us like a waterfall,
Peace floats its way past us like a gentle fog,
Tranquillity slides past us like a leaf on water,
Life glides past us like a bird on the wind.
We see life run past us but never open our eyes to it,
It slips away unknown to us,
Falls through our fingers like sand,
And passes beyond our grasp.
As we run the race of life,
We never stop to look around us,
Money, power and popularity have become too important,
For us to blink and see the destruction we cause.
Smoke filled clouds block our view,
Of the real sight of life,
We block our own view,
Of the real sight of life.
