Leader Of The Pack ~ Chapter 23

Mia looked to the forest, panick - stricken. Bianda had never howled like that unless she was extremely hurt. The only time she had howled like that was when she nearly lost one of her legs. Mia wondered what had happened.
She looked back at Jessania who was already in her wolf form. Mia guessed she should go into wolf form too. They raced to Bianda's aid. None of them realized Chria was on their heels, keeping pace easily. Bianda lay there on the leaves facing up. She was alive, at least. Tears rolled down the corners of her eyes. Mia knelt by her neck and nuzzled Bianda. She looked at Mia and pointed behind Mia before looking to the sky again. Mia looked behind her.
Maurishio knelt there, holding the lifeless body of Kayden. Mia blinked and looked again. There was no way that could be Maurishio, could it?
"I already observed if it was him or not. It's him." Bianda spoke in a voice, almost as if she nearly died.
Which she almost had.
Mia had explained that if a mate loved another person the same way than what Maurishio loved Bianda, they would easily die of a broken heart... literally. Their heart would tear and if some were lucky, it wouldn't tear a blood vessel. In this case, Bianda was indeed lucky that it hadn't gone fatal.
Mia remembered this and looked to Chris. He had Bianda's arm slung around his shoulder, supporting her weight. Silent tears dribbled down her cheeks.
She merely fell to the ground looking towards the sky as if it were the most beautiful thing she had ever seen. Her eyes closed and Mia couldn't hear her breathing anymore.
"Bianda? Bianda?" Mia shook her vigoursly, wishing Bianda would open her eyes.
Still nothing.
Maurishio had seen the little crowd and decided to come investigate. He looked at Bianda for a few moments.
"Get her to the house now. Jessania you know what to do, fix her blood vessel in her heart, it should'nt be too hard you know the most about it." Mia instructed Jessania.
Jessania gave one nod to Mia and then Chris.
He whisked Bianda up into his arms and with Jessania, flew to the house.
Maurishio had run too, but he hadn't made it far. Mia grabbed his arm.
"You will stay away from her. You nearly killed her!" She screamed at him. Maurishio was about to use karate on Mia when a flash of lightning ripped Maurishio away and flung him into a tree.
"Stay away from both Mia and Bianda." A dark voice said to Maurishio, taking a protective stance in front of Mia.
