A heart's Tragedy

Of nightingales and roses

We've all heard, I dare to say.

Lotions and more portions

Funny fickle emotions.

All's fair in love and war

Even if it's murder.

A little sexy or a little prude

Have to be a little shrewd.

Broken hearts, they mend so soon

One can never really tell.

It's a silly sordid game

That only time can tame.

Slumber does not come

She evades it all ashamed.

The mirror of false hope

Cries and tries to cope.

All in all it wonders

And goes from day to day.

It looks front and it looks back

And bravely fills its crack.
